Anyone with a P5 and an SRI?

well... under warranty.. unless you get a special dealership.. they won't even look at it with an SRI... its not a warranty item.. did you ever replace it back with the factory system???
if you are trying to have it looked at under warranty.. I would put the factory one back on .. in case the MAF malfunctioned... so that they will warranty the part instead of making you pay for it.... 300.00 bones

Ceej, seriously....do I need to remind you about what it takes to get them in a courtroom?!?!
I used to be full of wishfull dreams just like you, but the fact is the dealership won't do crap for you if they dont want to....case in point.
My wife's 1999 Mustang V6 has 60K miles on it. The car has a powertrain warranty on it for 75K miles. It started pinging very badly and high octane gas would cut about half of it out. Naturally I replaced the plugs with motorcraft double platinum (OEM plugs). Car pings worse than ever. Took it to ford to let them look at it under waranty. 2 days later get the car back and they tell me that I need a new battery, air filter, fuel system cleaning and ECU re-flash....none of this was covered under warranty and none of this was a guaranteed fix. I informed them that as an ASE mechanic I knew what the problem was and it was the EGR valve either clogged or not functioning. They came back with "the EGR isn't part of the powertrain". I was furious, but it didn't hit the fan until they told me that I owed them a $65 diagnostic fee since the work needed wasn't warranty work. My wife's car is bone stock, driven like a little old ladies car.
My point is this: it's the dealerships job to find ways NOT to honor the warranty. I wish you the best of luck but you're just going to get bent over and rammed up the poop-shoot. I hope you pre-lube with vaseline first buddy. It's going to be a bumpy ride home in a stalling car.

Either you didnt install the SRI correctly, or you have the wrong one. A proper SRI for a P5 sould have 2 openings...one for a IAT sensor and a bung for a line that comes off the cam cover that vents crankcase gasses...there are no other lines that go to the intake assembly....you take it to the dealer because of this THEY WILL NOT WARRANTY IT...all they have to do to prove this is the problem is show that any part of the intake assembly including MAF or any vacuum line going to it are not stock and there fore dont function as the manufacturer anticipated

Hey macdaddy, why do some manufacturers sell two different intakes, one for atx and one for mtx?? Certainly there is something different between the two. We'd need someone with an atx car and a SRI to chime in.
Ceej, is this the Ractive intake you got from Justin?? did it say "for automatics"??

I have no clue...I DO know that injens are universal,as are the ebay ones...who sells ones that say specific for atx or mtx?? there should be no difference...the intake assembly from the filter to the TB has no vacuum lines going to the tranny...again there is just the crankcase vent and the IAT, thats it! If he has a vacuum line hanging not plugged in, he pulled it off something else by accident during his install and didnt know where it goes, then just assumed it was part of the intake and plugged it when he couldnt find where to put it

yeah, I wish I knew of a local 3rd gen atx owner around here where I could look at it. I don't remember which company sold the different versions but I've seen it more than a few times.

check your SRI if it's touching brake solenoid while you stepping on the brake.
I don't know about other SRI, but when I had ebay...I had to cut the pipes about 1~2inches because pipe was hitting brake solenoid...ever since then...I just go with brand.
