Looks great! Of course I am partial to red cars. Are those the Wings West side/rear skirts?

Personally I would lose the chrome trunk accent (where the lock is), in my opinion it clashes with the monochromatic paint scheme. Once you drop it the car will be bitchin'!

Haha, thanks! Yeh that is the Wings West stuff, and a Mazda OEM front lip.

I was thinking of doing hyperblack of some kind of dark chrome for the trunk lock plate. Thinking it may match nicely with the black tint on the tails. Maybe not...

Can't wait to drop it!

That chrome piece came stock on all Proteges (minus MSP/P5) for 2003 (or maybe part/all of 2002 as well) in Canada. I'm not a fan of it unless it's on a silver car

Lookin great dude, now get that wheelgapectomy (thanks Josh) stat!

Those are some low profile tires! I really dig those rims, too. The late day light really brings out the paint color in those shots. On my monitor, the color's approaching spicy orange. Were you putting P5 headlights on? Didn't see it on the to-do list.

That **** will be superfly with the drop!

Tanks for all the compliments guys

Yeh, forgot to add the P5 headlights, they're actually in the mail right now
Also on to-do: rockblocker fog covers!
Also in the mail, a bunch of new lights to replace the dimming stock bulbs I have in there.
This ES is finally shaping up, haha!

Rather than ditching all the badging what do you think about getting black ones?

I don't know, black on dark red... maybe.

I hate how there are holes in the trunklid where to badges are however. That's just mean....

I think black on dark red would look pretty good.

I once had sunlight silver badges on silver and hated the look, needed more contrast --so I went black, and don't plan on ever going back!

that being said, I think black badges would look silly with that chrome garnish above your license plate. I've never investigated those (only available in Canada), do they replace the painted piece or are they just stuck on top of it?

If you black out the P5 headlights then black emblems would go well.

^^ I know, it really is the best one. Way harder to get however, and more expensive, but I like it so much more!

As for the chrome above the plate, it's a replaced peice, not just stuck on. Only option is to paint it.

What do you guys think - paint it Millenium Red to match the car, or hyperblack to accent the taillight tint and black emblems (would be done if I went this route)?

If you have to paint it match the color of the car.
