There's a reason no car has ever come with a white dash stock: It make s a mirror effect on your windshield and is very annoying.

Paint it black and keep it black.

White dash = Rice.

And some people say that 5 doors is one too many...

Keep your negative coments to yourself or at least put it in another thread. I busted my *** on my car putting in WAYYY more custom work and effort than most people wish to attempt, especially when it comes to aestehics.
It doesnt show in the pics, but this wasnt just a painted white dash. I had ALL the surfaces in the entire car either sanded smooth or fibreglassed. There is absolutely no texture at all on any of my pannels. I also took EVERYTHING out of the car and this meant taking out frame braces, dropping the steering column and alot of other pain-in-the-*** situations. I also didnt drop my car off at a shop and pick it up a couple of weeks later. I stayed up with buddies into the wee hours of the morning for weeks (this after putting in 10 hour factory shifts).
Also, if you cant tell, my car is strictly show snd it says alot when people recognize your car from the 1000's of others out there. When people say, "Oh yeah, Kris, with the white JDM Protege", people know who I am (in real life and online). Do YOU stand out in a crowd? Until you get out there and get your elbows dirty, dont be calling my car, or anyone else's, 'rice' unless their name is Uncle Ben...

Yay yay!

I said 2 doors was too few and got a P5 over a Miata, it's a matter of taste I guess.

You obviously like your white (blinding deathtrap) dash, and that's cool. But it looked like your Protege is a daily driver, and the white dash is still dangerious. When I was in high school my first car was a '94 red Mitsu Mirage. I took out everything and painted it red/grey. It looked nice and I was proud of my work. I know how you feel, don't get bent out of shape. I have the right to comment on your dash, positive or not. I don't like bright non-stock looking cars.. It's the muscle car lover in me.

Anyway, lighten up.

I dont mind the feedback (even if it is 'creative critisism'), I just dont think its fair to be calling it 'rice'...negative feedback is good because it means someone had to LOOK in order to dislike it and that means I accomplished what I was attempting.
Like or dislike, everyone has an opinion and I welcome all feedback, just dont insult me by calling it 'rice'...
Everyone has the right to like or dislike whatever he or she wishes, but, who is to say whats rice and what isnt. Shopping at Pep Boys for 'performance' parts is rice to me, but maybe not to someone else. Buying a stereo from Circut City is 'rice' to me but maybe you got your CD player there. Maybe you got 'NOS' seat covers from Wal-mart?
Bottom line...voice your opinion but dont be insulting mine. Say you dont like it, say why, and be done with it....

Just my $0.02 CDN (about $0.0138903 USD)...

To me, and thing that isn't performance minded is rice.

Wing on FF car? Rice.
Large tail pipe on sub 2L engine? Rice.

And so fourth.
