WTT: Center console

Do they make the center consoles in the MSP for automatic tranny? My wife hates her cupholders (kind w/ the door that closes over them). She wants ones like in my MSP. Do they make them like that for the automatics? If so, anyone want to trade center consoles?

02.5 & 03 models all came with the open cupholders. The ones with the lid were proven to be garbage and only came on the 02 P5's. If you wanna switch them, it should be a direct swap .. as far as I know at least. My P5 is auto and it's got the open style cup holders, so it should work.

I'm stuck with the lid ones, got the early 2002 model rather than the 2002.5

i kind of like the "lid" holder, since when its closed it looks much nicer.

I like the "lid" one too, but my wife wants the open one, she actually *uses* her cup holder

No thanks. Although I like the looks of the one with the lid, the cup holders aren't deep enough to actually do anything.

I prefer the lid style, not at all garbage for my use. I don't normally have a drink while driving, and it looks cleaner with the lid closed. For my style of driving, I don't think any stock cup holder would hold a drink well enough to keep it in place.
