Any explaination as to why you think so? What a strut tower bar does is pretty simple. It prevents the strut towers from flexing in towards each other under severe loads on the front suspension. A common misconception about strut tower bars is that they prevent flex in any other plane. A long thin bar is only going to be strong in one plane. It will effectively resist compression or expansion of the bar, but that's all. All you need to prevent that is a piece of material connected to each strut tower to effectively triangulate the front suspension. Unless by more expensive, you mean the very few strut towers that connect both towers to the firewall, or that are extremely light weight, I'd have to disagree. Considering the weight of the average strut tower bar, spending $300 plus on a light weight carbon fiber bar isn't a very good value on a street driven car IMHO. Spend the extra money elsewhere in the suspension and you'll get much better value for your money.

There was a recent discussion about STBs on the StreetTour group, and it seems as though most of the racers, as well as myself agree that the more expensive ones ARE better than the cheapy ones. Do what you want though.

If I put them together you could! I know more about Audio/Home Theather than I do about cars. If anybody's every in the Evanston, IL area, let me know. You can drop by for a little demo.
