I am looking for a working cassette deck for my '03 Protege - I already have a CD player/radio and I believe the model # is BN1C-79-AD0 (green illumination). If anyone has one for sale, please reply with an offer.

Why not just use your computer and burn your cassette stuff onto CD and say bye-bye to the old cassettes? I've done it before.

Thanks for the link. I may end up buying it new and trying to install it myself.

I really want a cassette deck because I record talk radio for long trips and prefer to use my iPod with a cassette adapter rather than the no-so-reliable radio transmitter.

Hey, i have the cassette deck for a '00 ES, i'm not sure if its the same thing, but if it is, i'd definately be willing to sell it to you cheap

(i actually removed it to make room for a RCA connection for my ipod which works great but i;m pretty sure you will need an aftermarket cd head unit with RCA outputs)
