I_need_a_roof_rack

does anyone have a 2003 protege5 roof rack? I am willing to trade for my roof inserts. I am located in CA and need to get up to Lake Tahoe before the snow melts.

I have the "crossbars" and all related hardware, which I removed and never intend to use. I already have the "inserts", unless you mean the whole roofrack in it's entirety, like the 2003's without the roofrack. I am in the Fresno area, and you are welcome to them if you'd like.

I am looking for the crossbars, related hardware, as well as the side railings which I intrend to trade for my inserts. In other words, I have a P5 that didn't come with a roofrack and would like to completely install a whole factory roofrack. Still interested? As I understand it there is a bit of work to remove the headliner to get the side-railings removed.

That's a bit out of my league. I've seen the "how to" thread, and you'd need to get a hotel room here in town. I bought the PR5 used, it's a darker color, and the previous owner never waxed it apparently, so there's probably a "ghost" of shiny paint under the rails. Good luck, it obviously can be done according to that thread.
