Protege Shifter Bushings Now Available

All Wheel Engineering, LLC the makers of high performance products for Subaru vehicles proudly announces the availability of its first product specifically for the Mazda Protege.

Our kartboy line of products for the Mazda Protege begins with the immediate availablity of shifter bushings. The urethane bushings replace the stock, soft rubber bushings to acheive a more solid and precise gear engagement, whether you are using the stock lever or an aftermarket short throw lever. We have been extremely successful with this product for the Subaru Impreza and WRX, and knew it was the first thing that needed fixing on our MP5.

For more information on this product visit: www.kartboy.com/mazdabushings.html

Thank you.

Are those for both ends or just the one?

here is a picture of the shifter bushings VS stock
ours are split into two halvs to ease instalation.

This is for the front of the linkage. we tried solid rear but that made it real harsh. the front set makes the shifter almost miata like

I ordered some as well. Just got the B&M short shifter for my Protege5 today also. I'm looking to have it all install next wednesday. I'll let you know how it works out.

Got mine in last night along with the B&M SS. The B&M is awesome! The throws are nice! The bushing tightened it up just right. The two together are perfect.

I did try the B&M without these other bushings and you could feel the play. With them installed there is no play and the shifts are firm. Well worth the money.

Got mine installed today. VERY nice. No more slop. Makes the shifting much more positive.

I saw the site, nice detailed pictures of the install. This bushing is just what my stepdad needs on his 95 Hyundai Sonata, I can hardly feel the gears when I shift it and it is sloppy as hell.

what's the easiest way for someone from Canada (Vancouver) to buy some? I'm also very impressed that you guys gave some out for the people that showed up to the California meet
