SHIFTER

Actually, I looked inside the shifter itself. After the boot was removed ,and you could see all the way down to the floor you can see I'm missing the two small square rubber pieces on each oposite ends of the shifter. Which is not holding it up, which is causing it to fall all the way through causing it to rest on the exhaust pipe.

You're describing where the 2 white plastic rings should be; also, there is a metal spring on the top that you need.

Drill a hole in the floor and the shifter plate and bolt that b@!$*% to the floor. Hell it worked for and should work for you!
