Need Gas Cap
Does anyone know where I can find a 2004 Mazda 3 gas cap WITHOUT going to the dealership? I've checked several auto parts stores near me and none of them have it. They've all told me I have to get it at the dealership (which is quite a hike from where I live). Is there nowhere online I can buy one?

Good luck. I was getting CEL code to replace my gas cap and had a hell of a time trying to find one other than the dealership. Took it to my mechanic and he couldn't even find one other than the dealership and he's got connection all over the country. Total rip off if you ask me. Maybe try an auto junkyard and see if any Mazda 3's are there - that's probably your best choice for now.

Yeah, I had to call the dealership...they want to charge me $60, and I almost crapped my pants when the guy told me that. So I cheated...my mom has a Mazda 3 also, so she let me have hers and she took mine. She's selling her Mazda anyway, so we'll just let the new owner deal with it...we're nice, honest people, lol. But seriously...60 bucks for a piece of plastic? No thanks.
