KL-ZE on Ebay
No $25. Because then it's only a few bids away from being the buy it now price... I dunno...I'd figure it'd be more like $1000 starting bid, $1250 buy now...
What would the point of it being an auction?

The point of it being an auction and not a set price is because there are people who don't think logically and would say "hey I can save $25 if I bid and no one else does!", and if that happens, the auctioner gets more money out of it.
Also, to have the buy it now feature, the buy it now price has to be higher than the bid price.
It's marketing....for an extra $XX, you get the item NOW! and it's yours, no waiting, no bidding, no hassle. It's yours!
the buy it now option disappears when a bid is placed, but it's the chance you take that someone else does not bid and you end up going over the $25 BIN price. Basically it's an impulse buy, like the crap they have at the registars at stores...your standing in line waiting and staring at all this crap...hey i feel hungry, wow candy bars...get the idea
