i need a moonroof for my 91 LX

Those darned moon roofs. The ones that are fully sealed, partially open, or even fully open: all they are is a rust problem in the future. Those things are meant for the very first owner of the car who eventually sells it and never has to deal with the problem. Never, ever buy an older used car with one of those. Yes, I know a few people have not had the problem but sometimes they were garage kept or live in an area with little humidity and little salt from the beach or snow.

take out your headliner in the roof of your car and undo the nessary bolts to pull the glass out
any 91-96 escort sunroof will help you
btw Buy a haynes manual it WILL help you, for the sake of 10 bucks

Only take the headliner out if you wanna swap in the sunshade. Which is a waste of time. I was the first person to do this and i have never thought damn i wish i had the sunshade, The glass is very tinted, Just get the side moldings and the panel of glass. Tilt the roof up in the egt and pull off the plastic panels. Unbolt the glass and take it. You can rip the old sunshade out through the bottom without taking apart half of your car. You will also have to trim the arms that pull the shade forward on your metal roof. It took me 15 mins and 40 dollars. goodluck
