here's a pic of the rotors i got (not through this source) you'll notice the drilled holes are not all the way through. As this is the major cause of cracking with drilled rotors. Same size as OEM, they just bolt right on. I am able to get more for any make model, not just Protege's.

hey dude, i'm not trying to rock the boat, i'm just telling you about and showing you what i got. Your rightthough, i didn't want in on this group buy, why should i pay for shipping, when the same thing is right next door. It's just logical and i'm sure you'd do the same. and when i said, i could get more, it was more for the other models than proteges, incase ppl had friends without a Protege, god forbid

I respect the fact there is present group buy in place and i'm not trying to weezle in on it at all, but i am offering group buys on other lists.

All i'm trying to say is, hey, here's what i got, here's a pic to show you what they look like, granted they may differ slightly, but you get the idea. and i got them at near the same price. Blah! thats it, no alterior<sp?> motives.

also, if you just paid $90 then had them plated, wouldn't that be $102?

Sounds like a killer deal, but are you guys sure it is real Brembo ? I called Brembo, and they said they do not have rotors for Protege 5s and MP3s. They said they have generic ones that can be used to fit Protege5s, and can be purchased from their distributor who cross drills it themselves. For older proteges I know there are Brembos, but not the new P5s and MP3s.

I am confused ?!?!?

anyone know how long shipping is gonna take? Im dying for new brakes and want to change the brakes/rotors at once. My **** is squeeking! im dying for these rotors. I sent a money order on the morning of the 15th. I live 40 min away from Long Beach(thats where the address is), so i know it definatly got there by the 16th. Hope it comes soon, i need these badly.

And, about my brakes, i know this is off topic, but has anyone had this problem?...

So over the cource of about 3-4 days my brake(right front) starts squeeking. i only got 17,xxx miles and i drive like a good kid, not hard braking or anything. The guy says that there are small cracks in the pad due to overheating, he went on to lecture me about how i shouldnt brake so hard. I tried telling him i dont but he didnt believe me. I think the problem came from when i was on the free way a few nights before all this...I was going about 85 and had to hit the breaks pretty hard, i dont have ABS and i didnt like skid, but i broke pretty damn hard. I think that might be where the "overheating" came from. what do u guys think? its so bad now that i dont even have to apply my breaks to have it squeek, it like comes and goes but for the most part, constantly squeeks! its so embarrasing! the guys said i have a bunch of pad still left on the brake but i jsut gotta replace em.

well heat does break down pads and rotors but I think you just sheered the pad along the indention line (assuming they're not solid pads, many have an intrusion line through the middle, common place for cracking when heavy pressure is abruptly applied.

Anyway, replace the pads, not the rotors. If rotors are shot a 17k theres a real problem. Pads will cost you 30-40 for the front axle (4 pads, 2 per caliper...) at pepboys or any other parts shop.
