No one else makes a commercially available supercharger kit for the FSDE. How can you discuss whether their kit is competitive when there's no competition?

there are, I think, 3 supercharged proteges running around although not at the same time.

The tierra kit is not owned by anyone here in the states, the area51 kit blew the motor with only 150whp and someone else built a area51 clone that claims 180whp but it cant be driven daily.

Then there's mine. I still think even without ac mine was the best of the bunch. It was still early in refinement and provided more bang for the buck than any of the others. My kit would've been about $1500 cheaper than the taiwanese kit (Assuming none of my **** got stolen).

Also, this was just the entry level system I showed everyone. The new blower with the aftercooler and megasquirt was never completed. No'one saw the flexdrive I built so the blower could be mounted on the driver side engine bay either. Noone saw the highpressure lightweight hosing I was using as charge piping.

While I'm not actually selling any products for the protege I don't think anyone has done as much with protege supercharging as I have. I've gone at it from every angle. I've covered every base and produced proven results that built numerous turbo cars and looked great while doing it.

If I had been in business to do this I could've produced a much higher quality product with much bigger numbers at a better price.

As it stands right now, my wife and I are planning on building a house in the ATL area next summer at which point I'm hoping to open my own shop. You may see a revival of the WOMP afterall. Nothing is set in stone.

The next thing I want to do is complete my NA package and get credit for it as the first person to make a 200whp NA protege...with that under my belt I could use funds from that product to restart SC production.....maybe.

I'll always be working on something. I can't stop tinkering.

I just ordered a bunch of new parts in preparation for re-doing the SC kit...nothing major but I think it'll make fitment a lot easier....Since I'm in no hurry to produce results you may not see anything on it in a while.

Hmm .. so how much would that 200HP NA build set ya back? Probably somewhere around $5-$6K?

maybe msrp...yeah... but not in parts...if done correctly. I'm guessing it'll cost me closer to $3200-3500. Much less if i could do it in bulk.

Yeah, I can get you some detailed pictures later tonight.
DOOD, anyone with a Protege who has tried to supercharge it knows there is no kits. Most of those people are on this forum or some other. It wouldn't take long for that news to get back to you.

I am sure the person who would do that, would end up showing up to a meet in your hometown oneday only for you to pound on for taking credit.

yeah, I knew the kid who did it. I confronted him about it...he fell off the face of the earth shortly thereafter.
