Hi there.

I am also in Australia (Melbourne). Do you know of any good places in Australia that sell parts for the SP20. I want to do some modifications but I cannot find any good parts. May have to import them from the US.

Yes I also need some parts for my car 1999 1.6 Protege 323 Wagon. What I need are cheap parts to improve the top end of my car. All it does is 170kph and thats all. Spoke to US Protegetech and thay recommend I increase pipe size and put in a sports filter. Any suggestions to the appropriate pipe size and also filter type. I heard alot of people talking about numerous parts (Engine & Aero Parts) in Hong Kong but I do not know where to go to get the stuff. Care to shed some light on this.

Well basically for ideas on what to do, just go to '3rd Gen Drivetrain/Engine' and look around.

You could always ask www.corksport.com what they got for you and if they could ship to your place.

And another Hello from Australia
I am running a Champagne SP20 with some mild mods.
These include a 2" cat-back, sports muffler, K&N panel filter and a Unichip. Goes much better and revs more freely. A good tuning shop should fix you up. I went to Croydon's in Silverwater, Sydney.

Otherwise, bigger wheels, lowered on Kings and a NUTS stereo.

how much did you pay for the unichip?...did Croydon install it?...have you dynoed the car..if so how much gain did the chip give?

cheers

Winmalee is Lower Blue Mountains outside of Sydney, and you?
Croydon did, $A1100 in and dynoed, 9kw at wheels gained, 70 to 79Kw (close enough).
The big deal is how smoother and more eager it is to drive, revs cleaner. Happy with it

i'm not that far from you then..i live in Plumpton which is next to Mt Druitt

have checked out the fastfours forums (forums.fastfours.com.au)..the guys from there hold regular cruises and bbq's etc..in fact we recently had a cruise to Katoomba..Bells line of road..and bbq at Katoomba prk..you can see photos of this cruise in the latest fast fours

my car (1.6l) put out 55.5 kw atw..at C&V..that was with a cat back only..so your're dong pretty well with your numbers

while my pro is a bit of a slug it is comparable to a swift gti in terms of performance

how long did it take Croydon to the work?

cheers
Cris

Spent most of the day there, they had to figure out the wiring loom and so on (first one they'd done). They were pretty happy with the numbers we got, especially as we really tuned for best driveability.

Yeah, I have been on a couple of fastfours cruises (the Anzac Day one with the rod club was great) but missed that one with motorsport commitments.

Mostly Sydney, but also around Victoria / Melbourne, Brisbane, and some stops along the way. So mostly I went up the coast of NSW, but I got a tiny bit of Queensland

I actually went with a pretty large performing arts group, good fun.
