You can never have too much bling!
Well, my 'sponsor' said to drop the car off for a week or so and he was going to fix my logos and wrap some more leather in the car...install the dvd & screens in the headrests...etc.
*heavy sigh* Okay...If I have too
I have a big show in February so hopefully this will help. Gosh darnit, free is always good!

i second that...you suck hard.
you're blingin out for free and I was told that my one-of-a-kind custom supercharger system was not "impressive enough" to make our local World of Wheels car show.....This is the same event where people were showing off their primered grey cars with no engines....their little spec boards said
engine--SR20DETT (coming soon)
paint -- lava orange (coming soon)
etc etc etc ...... its very upsetting!

Once you get er done, then we can concentrate on getting you some "pretties". (the same thing I say about the Focus, no "pretties" until she runs like a champ)

postert kit and rims is about all I'm doing to the body...no stereo stuff, MAYBE an in-dash monitor..but thats it.
I'm glad to see that you're having a lot of luck with your stuff..you should send your sponsors my way!

ahahahahahahah no "stereo" in the Focus (you couldn't hear it anyway!!) but he needs to have his paint fixed, get rims wide enough to fit the appropriately-sized tires on them, perhaps a cowl hood for clearance reasons, actual RACE seats designed for RACING and not just LOOKING like RACE seats, and a custom roll cage, etc. Those are his pre-authorized "pretties"

Phantom, are you involved in the business of tuning, modification, and accessories, or did you just get lucky by virtue of having a cool car? In other words, how/why did someone decide to sponsor you?

Basically I bought the car (the P5) and it had yellow & black Katzkin seats in it that a local shop installed for the dealership that I purchased the car from. Many, many people I know thought I should show my car because it's well...just so damn cool! Anyway, I decided that I needed more stuff done, so I took it back to the shop that had done the seats. Then I went to shows...and while I was there, I put the shop's business cards all over the car. After that, they just started giving me discounted & free stuff!
The last show I went to last year (The Tuner Fest) I got the primo spot under their tent and I allowed them to put their logo on my windshield and bumpers. I never took their logos off.....now I'm getting even more stuff done
I think that they really like the car and they must like me too! I also had to get out there, get noticed, and win trophies. I won trophies in all but 1 show I was in last year *yay* Most of the time all of the aftermarket goodies are installed by us, however interior leather & whatnot is not our thing. That's why I kept up with the shop and I talk to them on a regular basis. Also, the shop knows my show car club, so that is an added bonus as far as 'reputation'. So yeah...I guess you can say I got lucky!?!?!
