Whew am I pooped!
Whew am I pooped!
I've spent the last two days (total of 18 hours) installing my upgraded suspension. Found out just how out of shape I am! I put in Tokico HP struts/springs front and rear, Mazdaspeed sway bars front and rear, and AWR urethane engine mounts front and rear. Was working by my lonesome and outside. Probably could shave a couple of hours off knowing what I know now. And that air compressor I just got from Sears has already paid for itself. Now I just have to get an alignment and then have some fun. This weekend is supposed to be nice...
For anyone who installs the engine mounts, be prepared for some noise/vibration when you first fire it up. I was so surprised I shut down the engine and checked around to make sure I hadn't messed something up. My little test drive showed me that the low-speed lurching is gone though. Have to get on the freeway to see how much more NVH I will have at elevated speeds.

Thanks. I have some experience in repair (mostly on ships), but the old gray mare ain't what she used to be. I had some incentive in getting it done, as rain is predicted for tomorrow (if only I had a garage). After seeing my bruises, my girlfriend says I am not working on my car again. Her car is a different matter!
Have to install her rear spoiler this weekend.
