Where's your nickname from?

When I first started using IRC I did a search on the meaning of my own name, then searched for names in other cultures with the same or similar meaning.
So the meaning of my english name is similar to the meaning of the Japanese name "Toru".
However, the name "Toru" is not entirely uncommon, so I often have to augment it with "MSB", such as "Toru_MSB".
"MSB" is an acronym for "Magnificent Space Bastard". Now *that* comes from an episode of the animated series "Duckman", specifically "WHERE NO DUCKMAN HAS GONE BEFORE". At one point Duckman says of his enemy "Khan Chicken", "You magnificent space bastard!". This in turn is from a line in the movie "Patton" (starring the late George C. Scott), "Rommel you magnificent bastard, I read your book!". This refers to the fact that Patton knows Rommel's tactics because he read the book that Rommel wrote on the subject of tank warfare.

Anyone ever read the Sandman comics published by DC-Vertigo back in the day? They were written by Neil Gaiman (see my favorite books thread), and were by far the greatest pieces of graphical fiction that I'd ever read. The story was incredibly deep and far more mature than any other comic put out at the time. It's a shame the series came to an end.
I've been using the Sandman nick ever since. Which is a long time, as I started using Sandman during the days of 9600 baud BBSing!

Ambient is my personality.
Freeflowing and not caring about what others think about me. It is not related to the music. If you have met me in person, I don't talk a lot and I'm very quiet, unless I know you. I guess it reflects how easily I take "life" in stride. I have a simple "It'll get done, good or bad" attitude.

I used to work for a winey in production. One year for christmas i got a whole bunch of tools to hang from my belt. A flashlight, leatherman, radio, pair of googles and a sailor hat (the beanie type). I was drunk and put all the equipment on my belt, started thinking it was kinda like batmans utility belt and lo a new super hero was born "Captain Cabernet" Later for my online name it was shortened to captncab. Somewhere I have a photoshopped pic that my father-in-law did with a full superhero -like costume.
Don't know how interesting this is but well you asked \!!!

Traffik is my nickname because I used to race a lot on highways, specially when there was quite a few cars on the road.It gave me the advantage over the opponent.I also like the Konig Traffik wheels..in black....
FamousPork is the nickname I was given lately while playing online games like Medal of Honor:Allied Assault......
People knew me as a ''backstabber'' sniper in thegame and someday one of the other players called me FamousPork...it fits me well I think
Nothing really interresting in all this, but hell, you asked!

pollito14
Well since I live in Puerto Rico it's in Spanish and it means chick (baby chicken) I was in ELEMENTARY school and it had rained that day and I got wet, when I walked into class the teacher said that I looked like a new-born chick because my blonde hair was wet. And 14 is because when I started on the NET I went to get a Hotmail account and they didn't have plain old "pollito" and one of the options was pollito14 and it happened to be my age at the time. That was 4 1/2 years ago. And if you go to my website it's called Poll's Index because when I made some friends on the NET they called me Poll just in order to type less.
