I have only ever owned 2 cars in my life, My MP5 (which I smacked up on friday ) and my 98 protege.

The 98 had the 1.5L engine so it would be the slowest of the two.

of course there was my friends 85 (i think) nissan micra that ran on three cylinders.

My first car.
1988 dodge colt. Heaviest production compact car in existance 3600lb curb weight, with a rip snorting 1.6 90HP engine just waiting to be unleashed. No power anything. Including a radio. POS doesn't even begin to describe it. It was so worthless, that when the scrap guy came to pick it up from my driveway, he wouldn't give me the 40 bux he promised till I gave him the headlight I stripped out of the front of the car.
Stocker.

Unhappy

The slowest car I have ever driven was my last car, '90 Plymouth Colt. After 160K, on my manual tranny the fourth gear died. I was only left with three, and I could only push 35 mph. With an almost burned out clutch, on a warm day, my acceleration would 0-25 in about 25 seconds. Up the hill was even worse. Very horrible experience, driving 35 mph at about 3500, 4000 rpm! The only good thing about it, was doing donuts on the icy parking lots of Maine.

a Geo Metro

I test drove a Gold Geo Metro as a joke once...(some friends dared me to drive it and try to pick up some chicks, it didn't work out to well)

The screaming 3 cylinders gas pedal was like a thermostat. Set it at 60 and in a about 12 hours it approaches that. The cool thing was when tires wore out, I could bounce over to a hobby shop and buy some for like $6 a set

hey man!!! don't laugh! i seriously had to do that i my old car!!! once it started raining, that'd mean that i don't get to listen to the radio and i have to turn off the heat or a/c (at night time only though cuz i had to compensate for the lights). otherwise my battery light would go on and the engine would sputter... and get this, i even had my alternator replaced/rebuilt a total of 6 times!!!

Talking 1962 VW Bus

Slowest car I've ever driven was my dad's old 1962 VW Bus. I don't think I win over the fellow who drove a 40HP VW Bug, but close! I think the Bus had 60HP or something demented like that. It was slow, but it was hilarious driving it around! You know chicks dig it! Heheheheh...

You need to try pushing one with a Protege some time. I once pushed a later model VW bus, loaded with about 8 sets of tires/wheels, up an 8%, 4 mile long grade. The Bus would only make about 30 mph, so I pushed it in 3rd gear up to abou 65 mph. Let me tell you, matching the speed of a moving vehicle is so you can push it is tough. Took three tries before I got it right, and even then, the bus got really light in the rear going up the hill.

My fiancees 91 Subaru Loyale. BRAND NEW it put out a whopping 85HP in 91. Now...I doubt it makes more than a Geo Metro

0-60? Probably slower than I can run

trench digger

one of those trench diggers...looks like a giant chainsaw is hanging off the back. It had one speed...maybe 1 mph. But BOY did it accelerate fast...

Out of actual road-faring cars...hard to tell between my '83 Rabbit GTI and my '02 2.0L Pro-what's the 1/4 mile time on the Proteges? The Rabbit did a 17.02 and probably a 16.5 or less if the engine wasn't slightly worn (200,000 + miles).

I used to have an '84 Toyota Pickup 4x4, but that's not fair, because you can't really go off road in a Protege...at least not the stuff I did in it. It ran with a '99 Cavalier.

Yes, the Cavvy is probably one of the worst cars made. If you've ever actually driven one, not only is there NO pickup, but the handling is so strange it almost feels like you're driving a bus or something. My best friend has one that he's Ricering out (he doesn't realize it, he shares my hatred for the style). But his engine mods are: a K&N filter, I told him how to open his airbox, and he moved his temperature sensor to a location in front of the radiator to fool the computer into advancing the timing and delivering more fuel...and it still has NO pickup. His 1/4 mile time was I think 21 seconds, maybe 20.

Anyway, 'Dubs rule, slow or fast, and Mazdas go Zoom~Zoom and make me smile.

I would definatly have to say and I know my boyfriend (1fatES) would agree with me that the slowest car either of us have driven is my automatic 94 Geo Tracker. It is SO gutless when it comes to speed. But at least it saved my boy's Protege from staying the night in a snowy ditch when it snowed really bad up here.

Datsun 210 1983, 1.3L

Fastest in straight line 80Mph, once I tried to run a Porshe in that car.

It was like....I was pushing the pedal all the way to the floor that you could hear the engine scream so loud and the trans hitting hard the gears ( )... you could believe you were going really fast. The porsche at my side I think he was gearing @2000rpm, he threw 4th gear at 30Mph and he was faster, without making any effort.
