i rather have the car running a "tuned" engine, then adding something that just makes it run rich, not good for all engine components

 

All it is that they are talking about is adding a resister to your ECT or IAT. Basically how it works is if it's a certain temperature, the resistance is more or less and tells the ECU to add more or less gas. Soooo, if you to add a resister into the ECT (for instance on our cars where the IAT is built into the MAF) you're making the engine believe that the temperature going into the car is the same amount all the time. This can increase horsepower as you are adding more gas to the system... However, you're also doing the same thing when trying to go. I tried doing this myself after doing a bit of research and added a resister to my ECT. I seemed to lose a bit of torq at low RPM's, but gained a little bit of HP at a higher RPM. Also note that you need to add like Oct 91 if not higher to see much difference either. Unless you're a professional and know what you're doing here, don't bother.

I dunno about you guys but when my car is cold in the morning and therefore running rich(er), it does feel a bit snappier.
