seriously

is that all a pro 5 runs....i mean i'm not crackin on the protege because i just bought one... but i mean i never knew they were like that stock.... all i meant was that if that was the case is there possibilities to making it a 13 second car without using nitros or turbo......ect. Cams, header, intake...will that all do?

yeah....

Right, your '92 Jetta runs 13s hey? I've been spanking all kinds of Jettas in my stock Proteges, so I doubt that without some heavy mods you would run 13s.....

No diss intended

BTW, don't most cars run 16s and 15s stock?

yeah

well i do have heavy mods on my jetta i.e. cams, header, pully, cat back exhaust, piston rods, intake, borded out.....and a bunch of other little ****..... the whole reason for me to buy a pro 5 was to not have to spend the money like i did on my jetta relacing the interior parts of the engine...figured possibly cams headers intake would be sufficient to run those numbers concidering the technology of new cars now of days

I can't believe that anyone with a car with extensive modifications didn't do research before they bought another car to modify. I knew when I bought my PRO5 that it wasn't a rocket, however I still bought it cuz its different and very utilitarian. You should still do all the stuff you did to your jetta to the new pro5.

Bethlehem, eh? I'm from PA myself (Williamsport right now). Congratulations on your P5, they are sweet cars. Let us know how your project comes along.

Continue reading through the forums. You will discover that with a Stroker Kit you'll be able to pull of at least 18 PSI through a 2.0 Pro engine. And that's not too shabby.

But you should already know this **** according to what you've done on the VW.
