luckily pinks is only a 1/2 hour show. when they congregate the stuff coming out of their mouths doesnt even make any sense. a few of my friends are true car nuts (and tuners) and at least i can follow along with what they're saying.

here's an odd and slightly related fact, my roommate's bro just proposed to his 15 year old girlfriend of 2 months. theyve set a date for 3 years down the road when she's 18 (he just turned 18). he doesn't have a job & spent ~$150 on the ring...there goes his universal muffler. he could at least work for a while and save some dough for a nice ring or something. but i mean 2 months?? my friend's sister got engaged after only knowing her husband for 3 weeks! whats up with people marrying so quickly?

front end is primer gray huh, let me guess its spraypainted and he did it himself right? he not off to a good start, these are signs of a ricer you may need to leave the room and quarintine the place so he cant spread it around, or just keep hiding his keys and when he asks you for help just pretend to look for em, also hide yours so he wont try and race your car.

I often feel sorry for people like that.
i mean hell, not everyone can afford to buy brand new shocks or 300 buck exhuast systems.
I think most of it is just someone trying to make them selves happy with their car.
shoot, some people will talk crap b/c I have lime green neons on my car.
now dont get me wrong, I dont think that those neons give me 50hp for every foot.
but i wont say i dont like them.
I put them on there b/c i just love the glow.

maybe thats why ppl do some of these things to their cars..
b/c it makes them happy..

just a theory? hahaha

everybody has their own tastes. with that said, is primer really that cool of a color? i mean sure its his little project but could he make an effort so that it doesnt look like a bucket of bolts? its bad enough he bought ebay "coilovers," ebay intake, got $5 headers which probably wont pass inspection, and i dont even know half of the other stuff rattling around in his car. you have to put your trust in a bunch of stuff that probably wasnt even test fitted for his car before listing them on ebay with "CIVIC" in the title. maybe his end result will be much better than anybody expects, but man i can't wait for that day to come.

im totally cool with neons, HID, modded this and that. customizations keep things interesting, but some people go a bit far and i dont care how much time they spent, it looks like they half-assed it. i'm far from being called anything like a tuner or grease monkey, but my friends who are seriously into it agree that its better to be safe and spend a bit more, than to ride around on $20 worth of bragging rights and a coat of gray.

Yeah.
I think sometimes people do things on impulse.
for example.
From what I have studied, under body light kits are supposed to provide light for UNDER the car, and try to hide the "bulb" as much as posssible.

well there is a guy with a newer model little saturn 5spd.
that has mounted the "LED" lights to where you see every inch of the tube...
looks like he has a strand of ropelights on his car.
not to mention the fart can he threw on there.
From what I hear, those cars arent the strongest things arouind.
Im just waiting for him to blow it up.
this guy gets smoked by 93 camaro automatics with 200+K milles on them.hhaha

Im not going to say im perfect either.
another example on lighitng
my neons show a tiny bit on the sides. but that is from lack of room under the car. but for the most part I try to hide them.

but yeah.
on the suspension, motor, etc.
Id rather have something that I KNOW will fit the car.
I dont really like ebaying things b/c you never know if it will fit or not.

maybe he will realize this once he starts encountering problems.

hes just on his what i like to call "fast and furious" phase from what i can tell hes at level 2: spraypainting the car primer to make it look like a "Work.In.Progress" car, hahaha j/k, you should post a pic of it.

ehh
I cant say anything about spray primer.
I got some white primer to try to blend in some of the bad spots on my car.
but then again, i atleast try to match it with the car. haha

p.s.
I used to have that TF&TF virus, at one point I almost put a wing on my 1st gen. but talked my self out of it, thank God.

a wing is not a bad thing but one thats either taller or wider than the car or worse BOTH taller and wider then, i myself is going to get a wing after my CAI.

there used to be a "newer" model honda prelude around here a few years ago that had chrome rims and a "bridge" spoiler higher than his back windshield.
it was truly a site to see..
