useless mods

What is the purpose of all of these civic owners putting a tip on thier car to have that loud annoying sound thinking they are fast. Oh an intake does not make you fast it helps but it is not the cure all. I think thy need to stop selling tips to those that do not already have an exhuast.

haha I was at my local shop yesterday, as I was about to get the Piaa 40s to replace my cracked fogs. The good thing about this place is that you can deal and get real good prices. The bad thing, its right inside the parts department of a Honda dealership. However it does provide for some funny moments while waiting in line to get some service. When I was there, there was this guy who was getting helped and I couldn't help but listen in to what he wanted. Now he has this hot chick to his left, assuming its his girlfriend, and he tries to sound all pimped out with his Civic, I think it was a Civic but something told me he drove the teal green Integra with this retarded wing on the back. So as Im listening in, the guy was all hyped up about a Nitrous system, but the guy told him not to, and wait till his current car poops out on him or something and buy a new car and do all of that stuff to it. Now Im pretty sure he owned that 90 Integra. The guy behind the counter tells this guy that he has a friend who drives a Saab and runs 100 shot and gets 14s 1/4 mile runs. Thats cool. So this guy trying to be all cool in front of all these people starts talking like he knows stuff, and was like Im gonna get a 55 shot NOS and totally chrome out my engine bay, that should give me enough HP to get 14s...HAHAHAHAHA, I so wanted to laugh and point, but I didn't wanna be mean, so I let it slip. Then he starts talking about his new racing seats. He claims he can't shoulder check and he needs something to help his vision cuz he says the side thingy around your neck on some seats (whatever you wanna call it) impairs his vision. HA! Why did he buy it in the first place??? Now I really wanted to laugh!

Now Im at the counter right beside him, and he starts listenin in to what I want. I ask for the price of the fogs, and all of the sudden, he asks what my ride is. With a little grin on my face, I told him a Protege 5, and hes like, "ohhhhhh I know that! Ive seen lots of those around! What you got?" So I start listing my stuff, and he asks me what rims I got. Told him my Zigens with Parada Spec 2s bla bla bla, and he trys to act all cool in front of his girl and tells me he has 18' Six Spoke Rims in Toyos. So I ask him what type rims and what the tires are...I was expecting something half decent like Konig Verdicts and T1S or something, but he tells me hes not sure what the rim is called, and points to a 7 spoke in the store. WTF? Then he tells me his tires are Paradas as well...HAHAHAHAHAHA...I got my price, walked out the door, jumped in my car, drove by the front, and he walks out with a stunned look on his face like hes never seen a Protege 5 before...Obviously, this guy knew **** about cars, and was acting it all in the store, and guess what he gets into...the teal green Integra...nuff said...

Sry bout the rant but goddam!! People these days, a lot of useless parts that do diddly squat, and he think that it adds HP! And they really need to do some research before bragging about something that they didnt have in the first place!HAHAHAHAH...had to get that off my chest...

Oh yeah, I agree with what Semtex said, you can only make due with what you have in your pocket, sometimes there just isnt enough in there to get what you really want...

I remember when a kid you used to say that because your particular sneaker had a better looking tread that it was a faster shoe and therefore you could run faster.

I read a quote in someone's sig about this. " just because you can bolt it on doesn't mean you should"

Thats a good laugh P52nr, the guy thinks he's got a harley. You probably could have sold him some turbo muffler bearings right on the spot.
