Alright, why don't you tell us a bit about your 03 manual ES? Sounds like a nice car.... my kind of car.

What's next on the "to do" list?

Ok, how about this. Sunday night I was going to bed and went to check on my son, gave him a kiss and went to my room, laid down and heard a noise. I went back to check on him and he was asleep. I picked him up and put him in bed with me to be on the safe side. 30 min. later I have the cops at the door asking if we were ok, I said yes why? He said you didn't know that a bullet just went through you apt!
That noise was the bullet going through my living room and out the window. Aint that some #$%@! It was a drive by and they were aiming at the guy next door and almost got me instead. I live on the good side of town.

Holy Crap!
Glad you're ok!

I live in a quiet neighborhood with several older folks. It's a nice place, but nothing fancy.
There was a neighbor across the street, had bought the house a year or so earlier.
He didn't have a 'job', but he was always having work done, remodelers coming in.
Redid the kitchen. The nicest guy, too. Really friendly and a good neighbor.
He was shot a few months ago in NYC -- he was a big time dealer!

You just never know, man...

Ever see Arlington Road? That is a scary freakin' movie...

I really really really want the Wagner header next. Hoping to have the money by mid-October....
In the meantime, I have a set of MP3 pedals that I got for free and need to install!

Edit: I see you've already got the Wagner--how long did you wait?
I don't wanna be installing it in December...!

Thanks for the concern, I think this is the kick in the *** i needed to get me off my *** a buy a house!
I can't decide if I should go with the short header or the 4-2-1. IF I do the 4-2-1 I would have to swop it for the old one once a year to get it inspected, I wouldn't have to with the shorty. But the 4 would have better gains! CHOICES CHOICES!
What do you all think.

I would pack up my stuff and leave. I don't deal with gun shots. I don't care if it was toward someone else. Either that or be putting metal against my kids window! Glad you and your son are still on earth though!

Bad stuff can happen in nearly ANY neighborhood. Even the best ones have theft, alcohol and drug abuse, etc. I think the key is knowing your neighbors well, so they can keep an eye out for anything suspicious in the neighborhood (strange cars parked in your driveway in the middle of the day, etc). As far as shootings go, just remember that Columbine happened in one of the wealthiest metro Denver suburbs, and the nutjobs who did it were well to do.

Back to cars -
I waited all of one week for my Wagner. They were pretty fast fabricating it and getting it over to me. And yes, it's worth every penny.

There used to be kind of a flat spot in the lower rpm range when the car was stock, which is gone now that the Wagner is bolted in. Based on that, I would say I picked up some low end torque... but that's just a seat of the pants estimate - I can't give you a number. I will say this, though - there is a very noticeable difference. You'll love it.

Quit being a slacker... the whole purpose of this thread is to break up the boredom a little bit.

Back to car ish. Silver Protege ES manuals, to be exact. Ok, after the Wagner header, have you thought about a mid-pipe, down-pipe, etc? Both of these items are high on my "to do" list. The Wagner cams are definite wants as well, if they ever make it out of the prototype stage.

I'm not sure how far I'm gonna go on the exhaust. I really don't wanna deal with the hassle of changing my system every time I have to get an emissions test.
The DP eliminates the first cat, right? I can't remember, I've got some brain damage today.
Don't know if it'll pass inspection with it on. I was gonna call Wagner, since they're in PA also.
