Are your mufflers turning yellow yet from heat? How do you polish them?

I had one on my 1990 camry installed by the dealer... didn't notice it changed colors or anything... but after nine years it actually developed a hole... cool thing was... lifetime warranty, free replacement by toyota!!

I don't mean using chemicals to polish them. I meant; how do you clean them when they turn yellow? There are diff. types of finishes on the mufflers so diff. finishes require diff. methods.

keep in mind that there is a big chance that all of this will cost more than the car itself
