Subs in Neighborhoods

Isn't it annoying when people drive through the neighberhood with their subs going as loud as possible? I have subs, but I turn them off when I enter the neighborhood.

There is a kid that lives up the street from me that has his going full blast all the time. Sometimes even earlier in the morning. Who does he think he is impressing? Sorry to rant, but as I was typing he drove by. What a *****.

Sounds like my neighboor accross the street. Doesn't matter if its 3 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. He makes my windows shake.

let me just quote what I wrote on a local mailing list. It isn't about subs, but about mufflers.

Speaking of idiotcy... what is it with people and fart mufflers ??? Like I respect a nice exhaust sound, but I hate these cars driving by my apartment every five minutes... I swear to god I want to run out there, pull them out of the car, and beat them with the stupid muffler and ask what the hell you're thinking???? GARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Get a nice sounding exhaust, not the loudest one you can find, and I'd love it! >:O

man i live in T-town here and there are so many thugs and drug dealers drivin around in a 1972 Buick painter lime green with 24" gold spoke rims and like 5 subs in the trunk. If i wasn't so afraid of gettin shot i'd do somethin about it. But if he's your neighbor you can have soooooo much fun with him. Make a fake letter from the police department that looks like a warning for a huge fine for noise polution if he is reported again. That'll prolly get his attention. And if he doesnt you could **** in his box, or throw down mad nails in front of his driveway and put that biatch outta commision for a while.

Do you turn them off in just YOUR neighborhood? Because unless you live in the sticks, you are always in someones neighborhood, and they are likely bitching about you.

The subs don't bother me too much, but there's a guy with a Monte Carlo whose alarm goes off every time a train goes by. Everyone's told him to get the sensitivity on the damn thing adjusted, but he won't. Keeps going off at all hours of the night.

As for fart mufflers: Someone here had one recently get torn off by a speedbump.

I can't even remember the last time I had my subs loud enough that people looked around to see who it was. I grew out of that phase pretty quick. The neighborhoods where I live are tucked away from the main road also.

there is a correct way

now the fun way is to put a brick through his window and take a screwdriver and stab the cones on his sub a few times. Take a few shots with a polaroid and leave them on his drivers seat.

But, the correct way - is to call the cops and complain everytime this happens. Eventually they will dispatch an officer to the neighborhood.

Personally, when I was younger, we used to rob the kids that pulled that ****. Show me and my friends that you had a system, great - well take it and split it up among ourselves, or pawn it. Now, I couldn't be bothered. But, I have always turned off my neons/turned down my stereo whenever I enter a neighborhood. Especially my own. It's not just a matter or respect, or a fear of getting robbed. It's a matter of safety, I don't want to run over some fat little kid running across the road. You ever try washing cholesterol off the hood of a car.
