Streaming Video Problems

Streaming Video Problems
For the past about 3 months now, I've been unable to recieve any "streaming" video onto my PC. When we switched providers, I was able to recieve and download videos, etc. but now no longer. I can't even "save as" for anything. If I click the video link, WMP pops up and just says "connecting" for ever. If I "save as" it says "getting file information" or some **** even on links I KNOW work.
Is there something I can do to get my videos back? There's alot of funny **** in this forum and I can't see any of it anymore.
Like I said, even with my new provider for about the first 4 months with them all was well, but all of a sudden about 3 months ago anything "streaming" or even "saving as" doesn't work. Can you computer guys out there help me out?
Thanks!

You might want to delete all your temporary internet files, and cookies first. After, you can try deleting your history as well(get all that **** outta there) :-)
Then update windows. You can try re-setting up your internet connection. Try downloading latest patches for your OS and WMP. Also check your security settings in IE.
If those don't work, try running a search on your pc for mplayer2.exe. This is the older version of windows media player.
Does this happen w/ quicktime and realplayer as well?
