Spelling/grammar pet peeves!

Spelling/grammar pet peeves!
Ok, I don't know if the internet is indirectly causing poor spelling/grammar or simply exposing the stunning lack of ability already rampant among the population.
My two top peeves, in order of peevishness, are:
#1 - The use of "loose" when "lose" is intended.
Oh... My... God... This one drives me totally insane! I can't even say anything more about this one without gnashing my teeth!
#2 - Mispelling "ridiculous" as"rediculous"
What the hell? If it's pronounced "rid" why do people insist on spelling it "red"? Or are they pronouncing it "red" too? Gahhhh...
Ok, two challenges for the reader:
1. What are your pet spelling and/or grammar peeves?
2. Why do misspelling and grammar mistakes bother people so? I find the level of annoyance to depend on the forum, so to speak. The more fixed the forum, the more it matters. For example, in IRC or IM, it does not matter at all. When I see this kind of thing in the newspaper, it's the end of the freakin' world! (Well no, EOTFW would be if I saw it in a book, newspaper is "the sky is falling" bad.)

Those are pretty bothersome, but the ONE THING that bother me the MOST is when people mix up 'seen' and saw'!!
For example: "Have you saw that new movie yet?" and "Oh yea, I seen it last night."

Other Additions
I'm personally not the greatest fan of the current hipster doofus trend to deliberately misspell words:
kewl
sux
gr8
grrl
boyz
rox
cuz
And my personal favorite...
Aiight.
It's enough to make an academic recoil in sheer, unadulterated, linguistic butchery.

People,
We all make spelling and grammar mistakes sometimes (especially some of us foreigners, for whom English is not our first language). But... it only takes an extra 10 seconds to read your own text BEFORE you hit the "Submit Reply" button, and save yourself a little embarrassment (or at least prevent others from thinking that you didn´t make it out of high school, and can´t spell worth ****).
I´m not saying that would get rid of all mistakes, but I think it shows how lazy most people are, since they can´t even take 10 seconds to proofread their own words.
I assume most people want to be understood, and several members sometimes get pissed at others because they don´t get what they meant to say... so why not quit being a sloth, and check what you write before you submit the text. There is also an “edit” button in case you notice the mistakes later on.
I´m not saying that I don´t make mistakes... I make a lot of them, especially the "loose" and "lose" kind. But, I say again, I think that the only thing stopping people from sounding intelligent in their posts is their own laziness
I know there must be a lot of smart members in this forum, but I´m certain that there are some very intelligent people that we consider either uneducated, or slightly dense, simply because of the way they write.
Later,
