Why does it feel like your car runs good as hell after you wash it ? to me it feels like i have a lexus or something its more than likely pschological but everytime i wash my pro and wax and clean interior it rides good

WHAT? Are you trying to tell me that my car doesn't run better after I wash it! If that is true - explain to me why I wash my P5 every third day religiously. I swear to God, by the end of the second day I have about 2.9 HP - but after I wash it, I am smokin' little red Italians, crotch rockets check out my rear licence plate, and for "***** and giggles" I take John Force to school and take his lunch money!

 

well depending on how dirty you ALLOW your car to get.....after teh wash job you have improved the areodynamics of the car...and reduced its weight. :{D that could be it right?

 

Washing has been proven to reduce drag. Changing the oil gives a even better result.

 

i have the exact same feeling....it happened tonight actually, i washed, vacuumed, cleaned dash and all on my mom's kia rio (hehehehe) and then took it out for the night (mazda's not fixed yet) and it felt so good, i dunno why but it really does happen...

 

Im sure all of the road kill stuck on the front bumper robs a good 30 hp
