so when this little *kid* next door.....

so when this little kid next door runs into my car with his bike whilst it's parked in my half of the driveway what happens?

do i just sic my insurance company on her (mom)? is it her car or home insurance that covers it? will i have to deal her directly?

this hasn't happened yet but it's an inevitability considering that this kid is super wobbly on this thing.

Not sure...but I think you owe it to the parents to speak to them first and give them the opportunity to ante up. Afterall they are your neighbours. Did ayone see him screw up your ride?

just go next door and talk to the parents. they'll make sure it doesn't happen, because they don't want to pay for it i'm sure.

Which car did he hit? The Protege I hope...

Tell the parents, and see what they want to do about it. How bad is the damage?

From reading above... there hasn't been any damage... he's just getting prepared!!!

I'd just speak with the parents NOW. Try to prevent it from happening because it'll just be a nightmare for you later. Unless of course you need some bodywork... then wait it out!!

I would of grabed him by one hand and lifted him up, and gave him a wooping.

By lifting him up in the air his feet dangle and kick and he cant run.

I am teaching you my momma's techniques when i was a kid lmao !

well, i've talked to the kid already. even fixed his bike once too. hopefully he'll be more careful. watching him weaving around on that bike is bad for my blood pressure.

i really wish i had a double garage. i hate that my pro sits outside now.

Set up a video camera to tape him when/if he smashes in to your car. This serves 2 purposes:

1. Evidence if the parents argue about paying.

2. Send the tape to America's funniest home videos. Who wouldn't laugh at a kid slamming into a car? Hopefully you win 10 grand which is enough to repair the car and get more mods.

haha ... talk to the parent before it happens, warn her so she knows and inform her that you don't want to be mean , but you don't want your car to get scratched or dented. as she will be the one covering the repair charge

Bruce is right. Be pre-emptive, and she'll keep him away.

Teach him how to ride the bike better.

How about video of him smashing into his parents car?
