So much for that new car!
Freaking bullshit insurance garbage. I was all gung-hoe about getting a new protege this winter after tax season is over, until I checked out the insurance today. To keep my 323 and have the protege it would be about $1400 every six months. That's f'in ridiculous. Could I pay it? Sure. Would I? **** no.
I didn't bother seeing what it would be without the 323, but I doubt it would go down much, if at all (yes, multi-car discounts are a great thing). I know a lot of you get much better deals on insurance, but I'm 20, and would have to finance the car, so I'm automatically screwed. It just really bugs me how good drivers can really get the shaft on the insurance, and I'm not about ready to get married so I can cut ye olde bill down. I've had two tickets (one recent, but no points), and no accidents. Ohhhh the humanity. I guess I'll just be dumping money into my car instead.

ya damn...that sux. I'm in the same boat dude. I'm 22, I pay 1200 for 12 months on my 91 pro. Then I checked around on insurance rates before buying a p5 and man the quotes run around 2300 to 2900 for 12 months plus financing the car. I gotta work this thing out. I think I'm gonna put as much money down as I can in order to lower my monthly payments. And sell my 91 to get some extra cash.
