Saw Episode II last night

Apparently when they were doing sneak previews for the press, someone took along a videocamera.... A friend of mine just happened to have a copy so we watched it last night.

First of all, lemme say that I'm not a huge star wars fan. The first movies (Episode 4, 5, 6) were great, but Episode 1 sucked my hairy *****. So don't jump all over me just because I'm not calling it the best movie ever made.

Episode 2 attack of the clones was infinately better than the first movie, but not as near as good at the 'originals'. The whole movie was pretty much 'fake', which is fine if you like special effects and more special effects. Sadly, just by seeing the previews, there wasn't one scene from the movie that I can remember that wasn't already in the previews. The dialog was pretty crappy... Anakin to the senator chick : "Sand is rough, and coarse..." This was meant to be one of those deep profound lines... *gag* There are also some other minor errors that my more knowledgable friends were glad to point out...

On the bright side of things, Natalie Portman is the hottest thing ever, and the movie has some great special effects, I can't wait to see it in all it's glory on the fullscreen (the quality of the movie that I saw was just like any other bootleg).

All in all, star wars fans will like it. It's much better than ep. 1, yet still well behind ep. 4,5,6 (which they will never top anyways). If you're not that much of a starwars fan, and plan to see it just because everyone else is going... Save your $7.50 and wait for a matinee.

lol, well I didn't bother to read your interpretation of the movie, because I want an untainted state of mind walking into to it. But I did read the part about your friend bringing a video camera in and recording it? And you watched the recording on the tape? HAHA how the hell could that have been enjoyable, or even have begun to have the same effect of watching it for the first time on the big screen. Its just like all those boners that download movies of the internet before they come out, watch it in some shitty div-x format on their little 17" monitor and then bitch about how much the movie sucked. I'm not saying you said the movie sucked, like I said I didn't read your opinion on it. I'm just saying that how the hell can you make a good opinion on this movie watching some ghetto video tape, that probably didn't hold still the whole time, you heard *** rammers in the background, and popcorn munching, and shitty sound. I dunno, doesn't sound enjoyable to me, but to each their own, I guess I'm old fashioned and still like to spend that WHOLE $7.50 WOW!!! Chedda.

True, True. I wouldnt watch StarWars on my computer or tv from my computer (tv-out) since it is a movie you HAVE to watch on the big screen. But I disagree with what you say about divx. DivX isnt "shitty", its near DVD quality. If you have a sloowwww computer, then yes, DivX is shitty . Most bootlegs are in mpg format, and are recorded with a digicam. THESE SUCK! I did watch Lord of The Rings and Harry Potter in SVCD (super vcd) format. Lord of the Rings was (4) cds, and the quality was GREAT!

At least he didnt give any major spoilers away...

Hmmmm... maybe if you would have read what I said in my post, you would have realized that the quality of the bootleg (although it was very good) had nothing to do with my interpratation of the movie... Gee, in fact I think I said I can't wait to see it on the big screen....

Hmmmmm... Next time why don't you read a post before throwing in your $.02... It's "popcorn munching *** rammers" like you that make me go to the movies less, especially ones as hyped as this... I just love it how people get so offended over someone's elses opinion, you guys crack me up

I"ve seen plenty of movies in 320x240 resolution and I've had no problems at all with them. I download movies that I like and want to see all the time and the only thing I lose in d/ling them is the special features on the DVD's.....other than that, I think the same of them whether they are DVD's or ghetto-trash-mpeg's.

BTW: ep2 was def better than 1, but yeah, none of these prequels will ever live up to the orignials. I don't like special effects, they seem too fake, even with todays technology (i'm **** as ****). If someone tries to use puppet techonology or something like that (like in SW1 and ****) then I enjoy the movie better for some reason.

If the computer effects are so good, they fool me, then yeah, i don't care, but after seeing SW: Ep1 again the other night, i was like "damn jar jar looks like ****" "damn those speeders look retarded" and ****.
I couldn't agree with you more!!!! I was especially disapointed that Jar Jar was back in this one... Good god I hate that thing, whatever it is. And yea, to reiterate... it doesn't matter how good the movie LOOKS(as in quality) to ME, I'm going to like it only if I like characters, the story, and all the other stuff that's important. Sure, seeing it on the bigscreen as opposed to a 27" tv will add to the "OOOHHH AHHHHHH" factor, but it won't make me like the movie any more. I'm still probably going to go see it in a few weeks when it's died down, it was a great improvement over Ep. 1.... Plus Natalie Portman should be my wife (no offense to my girlfriend)

altho i am a die-hard sw fan, ep1 ruined it for me. it was a total blowhard movie not worthy of the sw title. these "new" episodes seem geared toward the whole family instead of being a true sci-fi with a general audience in mind. i find myself waiting more for lord of the rings 2 than attack of the clones, altho i will be in line this wednesday for the opening.

aah, but nat portman is da bomb! i love her. for real. i do. i didn't think she would've been able to top leon- the professional, but damn, she is bad@ss! very versitile indeed.

apparently, without "models", sw will never be able to top episodes 4,5,6. digital is good and all, but ends up looking like something off the sci-fi channel. lucas is a plug. a rich plug, but a plug nonetheless.

Blow me, I was making a statement in general. I am far from offended so perhaps you should read more into posts. I did not refer to how you judged the movie, or make any statement regarding your opinion on the movie, so eat a dick. I was simply asking how people can enjoy a movie like that in a form that you watched it in. You enjoyed good for you, now go **** yourself.

GOddamnit, I ain't mad, and I ain't hatin' on no one. I'm just a juggalo, and I gots a hard time time trying to get words across with the use of stale *** text. I don't get pissed off at people over the internet, unless they're talking about my mom. Then if you're within driving distance, yeah I'll probably try to come over and beat your ***, other than that I just speak kinda harshly, I don't mean anything really by it its just how I talk. You can imagine how hard of a time I have at work trying to talk to people. Intel is one of the most PC (no not computer PC) places in the world. Jesus H Christ I have to bite my tongue all goddamn day. Look, I really don't care how you watched the movie, if you liked it or not. Whatever floats your boat is great with me. I love Star Wars, and I am a person who, uhh well I guess I like to have my senses satisfied I guess. And I guess that means that I probably smoke too much weed, and that means I want a big *** clear picture, with some loud *** sound, when I watch Star Wars. Oh well, anyway man, no hard feelings, I'm just tryin to keep it real. Much clown luv.
