Ok, let's look at the comparisons:
WRX: 227 engine hp, 167 whp/167 (SCC, 6/02), Base MSRP=$24,520
RSX-S: 200 engine hp, 172 whp/124lb-ft (SCC, 6/02), Base MSRP=$23,670

Cheap Performance Gains:
WRX: Vishnu Stage Zero Kit, gain 41whp,33lb-ft Price=$1095
RSX-S: NOS 50-shot, gain ~50hp,60lb-ft, price=$516(nopi.com)

So in total:
WRX with 208whp/200lb-ft for $25,615.
or
RSX-S with ~220whp/204lb-ft for 24,186. Not to mention that you can still Turbo the RSX-s.

So, now which one would you choose?

I wouldn't choose either... WRX = weakish tranny... RSX = Everyone has one....

Me? Probably a VW GTI 1.8l... $500 gets you a chip good for another 30-40whp.... all for under the base price of those modded cars

They're all a good choice though

The GTis are very nice also. I really liked the RSX, but it did not fit into our plans. I needed to put a child car seat in it and get the kid in and out easily. I went from a 2K Mustang GT to the Pro5.

Gotta love the 1.8L. But I'll go with the WRX. The AWD system keeps you king of the street, at least against the RSX and GTI. Plus I never really liked Honda's in the first place.

Hmmm....I dunno, but the WRX looks better. I don't know what it is but, It just seems to me that the RSX is a chicks car

See, perfect example of "to each his own" I don't like the looks of the WRX and do like the looks of the RSX-s. Granted, a base model RSX-s does have a chick look about it, but with a kit like the WW one, I think it looks mean as hell.
