Rant!!

I Want To Apologize For Anything And Everything I Am About To Say. I Am Highly Pissed Off And Want To Severly Hurt Someone Right Now!!!

Anyway, Here Is What Happened:

I Wake Up This Morning To Banging On My Front Door. Im Expecting It To Be My Fiance's Mom Because They Were Supposed To So Somewhere This Morning For Breakfast. Turns Out It Is, But She's Freaking Out. My Finace Then Runs Up Our Stairs And Delivers The Most Horrible News To Me I Could Ever Hear:

You Have No Wheels Or Tires On Your Car!!

Thats Right!! I Have No ****** Wheels Or Tires On My Car!!!! My $1600.00 Wheel/tire Combo Has Been Jacked. My Car Is Left Up On A Cinder Block And Car Battery!! My 1,000.00 Adr Vision Wheels And 600.00 Kumho Ecsta Mx Tires Are Gone. The 45.00 Wheel Locks That Came With The Wheels Didn't Do There Job And Now I Have No Wheels!!!

I Don't Have 1600.00 Lying Around To Buy A Whole New Set Of Wheels And Tires!! I Don't Know About Some Of The People Here, But I Have A Crap Load Of Bills To Pay Every Month And Don't Have The Finances To Pay For A Purchase Like That. I Don't Know What To Do People. Ive Already Filed Claims With Both My Insurance Company And The Hillsborough County Sheriffs Office. My Luck Has Gone From Bad To Worse. This Totally Sucks *** Man!!

It's that horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach when you find out that someone has molested your baby!

Hopefully your insurance will come through for you. Keep your chin up!

OH, and do you have any local car forums in your area? You might post up on them and have people watch out for your stuff.

sorry to hear that. go pimp my ride style and find 4 donut wheels at a junk yard or somethin. i dunno if this his too little too late, but in the long term try investing in a car alarm. some local shops can sell you a basic one for < $300 which includes installation fees. hope for the best.

I lucked out and got my alarm done by a friend for $100...includes the remote pager feature that lets me know when people are sneezing on my car It's actually pretty sensitive and the range on the remote is incredible. It will go off in the parking garage and I'll get a page up on the 8th floor of my building, in my office, in my purse, in the desk drawer!

I've never seen your gates actually closed, even at night when I've come by....does your apt complex have cameras ???

not te be funny, but you could get a set of 14's like mine from pepboys for like $200

Yeah, it sucks real bad. I have receipts for the wheels, but the tires I don't think I do. I got those as a birthday present from my parents and girlfriend.

I had an alarm system. The asses who stole my wheels clipped the wire that runs to my horn. That way when the car alarm went off, it didn't matter. The wires were cut and no one would hear a thing. When I get my new wheels, Im definately going to invest in a new car alarm with pager system. Im also going to do what Raider said and etch my name or some kind of identifying mark into my wheels. Thanks for the well wishes though. Its appreciated!

I had the car insured before the wheels and tires were ever installed on the car. So basically the insurance company never new about my mods till after I called them and let them know they were stolen.

I AM going to bitch at the apartment complex. I think they should be held responsible to some extent. I know they put a little clause thing in the leases that says they aren't responsible for lost valuables, but they need to see that I did everything in my power to protect my car. It is their fault that THEIR gates weren't working properly. Maybe if they were, then whoever stole my wheels could of been keep outside the complex. I haven't asked if they have cameras, but I don't think they do. They have a cop guy who patrols the complex looking for activity, but nothing else. So right now, Im talking with a lawyer to see what my options are. Im also thinking about getting one of those consumer lawyers from TV (like Fox 13 or something) to come out and do a story about what happened. Ill keep you all updated if you want to know what happens.

How much do those MSM Racing Harts cost? Know where I might be able to find a set? In either 16 or 17?

And they're probably going to charge me a arm and a leg, right? You think a coupon for 10% off during midweek will help any?
