Cool Qho has been in an accident? (anytime)

I don't know why I posted this I am just curuous to see the percentage who have,

me and my buddy totalled his car 2 days after my grad we got hit by a ford f150 doing 70 klicks or thats what hte cops figured it was my buddy failed to yield and he nailed us about an incho ro two behind me totaled the back seat, and I cut some nasty glass cuts but in the papers it said I was hte driver and my buddy was the only injury, so that was kinda funny seeing how Ididn't have my drivers..

back in October of 2000 I rear-ended a jeep cherokee (the boxy style) due to crappy rainy weather and 2 mis-matched set of tires on my protege.. probably only hit it at around 10mph but I did $6,900 of damage to my protege.. it was kind of my fault I think I was looking at my cd player and didn't notice traffic stopped over a small crest.. my tires locked up for no reason and I helplessly sled into the jeep.

dont mix toyo a05s and bridgestone re900s..

grr..

at least the car drove the same way after the crash.. it'll never look as good though

Good, so I'm not the only one that doesn't like them in rain/snow!!! I hate those tires!!!

By the way, I was involved in a 'fender bender' where I slid in snow in a parking lot, and hit this Dakota from behind... My fault, but it wasn't big..... well still waiting on him to take his car to insurance to fix it.....

some f*cker in a Caddy STS decided i had to yield for him (i was going straight thru the intersection) to make his left turn and i ended up nailing his car. i wasn't liable but i still feel the pain in my chest 3 years later.

totalled my gen2 Protege ... the gen3's were released that year so i got a new (higher model) gen3 with the insurance money!!!

YES, more than my fair share in my opinion.....none of which were my fault....always someone else doing something stupid....or mother nature throwing something at me that couldn't be avoided. I have been in TWO that the highway patrol could't believe anyone lived through. and I guess I have an angle in my corner for I didn't get a scratch in either of those. BUT, it has made a firm believer in me of seatbelts. Both were roll overs....one at 65 MPH...I was a passenger in that one....and the other was slower...but it did a serious number on my car....it was a TOTAL loss....if you want to take a look....here are some pictures of it from my website....the page has a little narritive at the top...then some pictures of the custom I built....then towards the bottom is my HotRod I have spoken of here on the board before...and its final demise at the very bottom. Follow the LINK!!
Needless to say....this can make you cry.

oh yeah

3 in a way.

1) Nov 27 1999 some stupid kids were dropping rocks from a overhead pedestrian walkway. It was above a downhill area (Boundry rd in Vancouver, before Marine dr). It happened for 4 days in a row, and I got nailed on the 3rd day. It smoked my windsheild, and the top portion of the car, ripped the metal. My girlfriend was covered in glass, but luckly, no cuts.

2) Dec 15 1999 rear ended at a stop sign. on a highway exit. My back was twisted (cuz I was at a T junction), and i ripped a few muscles in my back, took 2 weeks off work. went back to work for 2 days, then took a day off cuz my back was hurting. this was Jan 6th 2000.

3) Jan 7th 2000 on my day off, I got rear ended again. This time at a faster speed, and made my back even worse.

Fun fun fun, this was in my '94 Ford Escort Wagon, needless to say, this car is gone now. =)

Exclamation

Well I use to have a MX3 precidia and I swear it was cursed!!! Four years ago, just on my way out of Thunder Bay, a black bear decided to cross the road at full spead and hit the whole drivers side of my car, cracked the front and back quarter pane. A year later I was comming home from Wasaga Beach and a dear decides to charge across the highway and, again, hits the drivers side breaking off my mirror and smashing my driver's side window to pieces. It was a looong 4 hour drive with no window!!! then the next year My boyfriend was driving around a curve at like 70km when a raccoon decided to jump out . We swerved to miss it and flew off the road into a ditch totally destroying the front axel and steering column had to be replaced. And finally I went camping with my poor precidia and went to a corner store and when i came out there was a guy waiting to tell me he backed up into my car denting the drivers side door so it wouldn't shut right.........hopefully with my new P5 I'll have better luck!!!

Hmm, I've been in two. One as just a passenger, though, and it was just a little bump. Actually, the second one was just a little bump, too, but I was driving. This was back when I was in high school. I got hit by a guy driving a van in the snow. He clearly didn't know how to drive in snow and his brakes were completely locked up. He slid through a stop sign as I was turning left and he just dented one of the side panels on the car. He acknowledged that it was his fault and his insurance company paid for the whole thing.

A challenge

I still win for the most. Nine (count 'em. 9) wrecks, all starting from 1 month after my 16th birthday (swerved to avoid a car, into gravel, slid into a phone pole) to the last one when I was 21 (I wasn't driving, a car pulled out into us, in my door). I've totaled 2 cars, one my fault, one not. I've rearended 2 cars, and had my **** hit twice. I've owned 7 cars since I was 16, and the only one never to see the body shop was the truck I bought after my second total, except my P5 I have now (the car between those was dinged up in several parking lot pissers, damn people need to learn how to park.) It's been nine years since I was in a "wreck", and I'll be glad to never have one again.

Well i've had 3 wrecks and 1 fender bender....
1st was when i was 15 and just got my 1997 Ranger went to fast around a corner and lost control and hit a barbwire fence.

2nd..In same truck got rearended in the rain by a car going 65mph when i was at a dead stop. totaled out her car, and only messed up the bed of mine.

3rd. Was a passenger when my cousins decided to pull out in front of a car.

4th. Was just a lil fender bender at school, when i hit a Ford Ranger with my 1989 Grand prix...put a huge dent in the trucks front fender (hit it with my mirror) and didn't do anything to my car. I wasn't gonna tell anyone put some construction workers saw it and i was scaried they would tell.

All of these, well most of them happened my 16, and 17 yr old days.

Also i have had only 3 ticket (all for speeding)

I've been in three the worst was when I had an 87 tempo. I had just dropped it off at my dad's work and was driving his 88 topaz. (for some reason my parents liked these cars) Anyway I was about 2 blocks from his work and going through green light at 50mph when two girls in a brand new neon ran out in front of me. It happened so fast that I wasn't able to hit the brakes. I did swerve a bit so instead of hitting the passenger door (which probably woudl have killed the passenger) I drove into the passenger compartment. I bounced off did a 360 and smacked head on into a taurus in on the other side of the intersection. (The taurus was a rental driven by two little old ladies) I had hit the neon so hard that I broke the axle of the neon and split the dash of my own car in half. My girlfriend at the time was in the passenger seat and through her bad luck had forgotten to buckle up the lap belt (the car had automatic seat belts.) She broke her collarbone, cracked a vertabrae in her neck, abrased her spleen, and damaged the cartalage in both of her knees. I got off pretty lucky, I just tore my rotator cuff from grabbing the steering wheel during the crash and bruised the tendons inbetween my radius and ulna. One of the girls in the neon broke her thumb. My (former) girlfriend spent a week in mayo. I on the other hand started college two days later. Anyway that's my story. Just a peice of advice ALWAYS BUCKLE UP! Even if its a short trip, you have airbags, or automatic seatbelts.

Driving in Indiana during a serious snow storm the air escaped a tire slowly (I didn't notice the road was all bumpy with snow). Well eventually after traveling up through the state at like 25 on the interstate I ended up behind a plow. The snow deflected off him came back onto me. I couldn't see so I tried to pass. I ended up jackknifed in a ditch.
