Well, no wonder, the Pro's have no re-sale value.
Dig this:
I saw a dealer- advertisement today, brand-new, 2003 P5 $12,800. and it gets worse, brand-new
2003 MS, $17,700. On top of these low prices were 0 % financing and the Grad rebate.
Hmmm, if only I had waited...

I got mine before 9/11 which happened a few months later from purchasing new. I could have gotten 0% financing and the dealer's free oil change for life that they are currently offering.
My guess is that Camry's are easiest to steal? One year the dodge caravan was ranked #1 because it was easy to steal do to the plastic break me please steering wheel column, and the wires were very accessible. Or so they say.

The reason most cars are stolen is for their parts. The more cars you sell, the more likely they are to need parts. VTEC Hondas are popular for their motors, out of proportion to their sales.
And the worse the drivers of a particular car drive, the more likely they are to need new body panels. Or engines.
I followed a late-model Camry the other night on my way home and the thing had oil smoke coming out....probably never changed the oil in it.

Granted, if a thief wants something from your car he/she is going to get in, whatever means possible.

How was it broken in to? I had a Toyo Corolla and the thief broke in and stole a Kenwood HU. He some how punched the piece where the key goes in to the door to gain access to the vehicle. What sucks is that it was a pull out unit. At the time, it was new (before MASK and detach. faces). It was jammed in there and mounted under the dash via an underdash kit. The thief couldn't get it so he took the whole kit with it!! This was a couple of days before the stereo shop was going to look at it and fix it to come out. Lastly, it was when my bro and I were sharing the car. It was my turn to have the car but after he pleaded, I let him take it to spend the night at a girl friend's apartment where it was stolen.
