I posted this under the Car Electronics, but after pulling my factory battery from my 2001 ES to replace with a bigger one, I noticed on the sides of the stock battery reading "PANASONIC." I know they made microwaves, home and car audio, speakers, alarm clocks, and now car batteries?!?!?!

I had a Panasonic battery stock in my car and just replaced it a few months back.
I believe the battery in My brother's 90 Miata was also a Panasonic and it lasted for 12 years.

 

Energizer makes car batteries, too. I had one in my Escort.

I just had no idea Panasonic made car batteries! If only some one had a camera when I saw the name. I had a time getting to shut the stupid factory alarm up. I kept hitting the unlock <disarm> button and nothing happened, so I had to put keys in the ignition and hit the ghost switch. Now the whole apartment complex hates me and knows that I have a new battery Luckily no one was home except some little hottie across the street wondering what tha hail is he doin'?! Nothing more annoying and embarrassing at the same time than a horn blasting for what seemed to be eternal, blasting "CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP!"

I think my A/C compressor says panasonic on it.... they make all kinds of stuff. My distributor says mitsubishi. .. etc.

My dad told me that Ford used to make TV's .
I've seen excavators and Backhoes made by Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Hitachi.
Daewoo makes cars and electronic devices......... Thats about all I can think of.

 

Anything made by Mazda?? I took the alternator apart and found a fried hamster on wheel that stopped spinning. No wonder my lights dim when the bass hits! Mitsubishi is another company that makes every thing, TVs, cars, one of the largest banks I think in Japan. Hell the owner must have more dough than Donald Trump!
