I just ordered a Mini Copper S today. Now I have six months to wait for it.

Holy crap, 6 months? What other cars did you have in mind before choosing the mini? They're pretty cool cars I guess

My local dealer has the red one, with white racing wheels, and the English flag painted on the roof.....bad assss.
Congratulations on your car, sorry you have to wait so long.

Went with the 16".

there were some on the lot that I could have got but it would have been 3 to 4 grand more.

Those minis look neat!! Love the mileage, even on the S! I don't really like the dash cluster that way though

IMO: I love the cluster on it. Hopefully I'll be able to get rid of the s-10 and get a Mini S next year I really like the look of it... and I HAVE to have the British flag on top, it kind of lends it that Austin Powers look

A friend of mine is selling this
http://www.bensrallypage.com/forsale/allen_mini.html

This is a photo I took of another friends new Cooper S, fun car but no where near as practical as the P5 which is equally as fun (except for the power)

And another friend in Ireland rallying his REAL 1967 Mini Cooper S
120hp at the wheels, he took me for a ride, the sucker moves!!!

I love the old Mini.
RHD is the best.

try this guy out if you're looking for an old (60's-80's) Mini.

Wow! Congratulations, David!!!
What a great Christmas Gift. How did you manage 16" wheels? I though the "S" only came w/ 17"...
But damn, you must have really enjoyed your test drive. My neighbor has an aqua-colored Mini, and that car is sweeeeeet! It's not as "S", however.
I think the supercharger will be far superior to a turbo, too!
Good job- please keep us posted.

16" is standard for the S.

I think my Miata had more trunk space than a Mini with the rear seats un-folded. Personally, my only complaint about them - unless you fold the seats down, there is almost zero cargo room.

Other than that, they are very cool little cars, and great handlers. The "S" moves really well, too. Having BMW engineering doesn't hurt, for sure.

Best of luck - that's a tough waiting period, tho.

That's the best you can come up with.

It's a car. a small car. I'm not giving up my Mazda this is for the wife 90% of the time.

and 2400lbs is not that bad.
