Well, the inevitable happened today. My girlfriend just picked up her Vivid Yellow P5 this morning. It was a service loaner, but when she bought it, the odometer read only 2000 Km. Her parents insisted I was VERY active in the buying process, and made me spend about an hour alone with the car just checking it over for anything to bring the proce down. Surprisingly, after all the decals were removed (except the red "Zoom Zoom" across the back bumper) the car was in great shape.

Her parents were very impressed with mine, and thought they'd get her one for good grades in school. They just paid cash (her Dad did the same for his 2001 Carerra 4 ) and she drove it away the next day. I'll be sure to put up some pics of my car's new boyfriend. (She named it Alexander ) and a few updated pics of my ride as well.

She and her parents are very pleased with the car, and since I have free licence to rice the hell out of it, I'm a happy camper as well! LOL!

Anyone else out there have a "significant other" with a P5 as well as them? I know Sir Nuke does, but who else?

Well I have a similar situation. Since I'm the one who's not exactly the spoiled kid in my family (granted I do have a 99 Protege ES). But I've paid 5 grand back to my parents for it... how much did my sis pay for hers?? of course only 1g. Anyway, My g/f's parents just picked up a 2000 Protege ES for her... Its blue with the sunroof and the nicer stereo taken out of a P5. Its exactly what i wanted but could only find red with no Moonroof or ABS. And she paid nothing for hers. Whatever.. it makes me appreciate what i have more and well.. hahaha.. with all that extra weight she's packing and with the intake and cat back i've got hooked up to mine and soon to have headers.. woooo But either way.. i feel like a chick now.. with my lipstick red ES with auto.. maaan good thing i have the exhaust to add some masculinity Ttyl byebye

The red "Zoom Zoom" on the bumper is a dealer thing, yes. It's about 2 feet long overall, and about 8 inches high. I hate it, but whatever makes my baby (not the car this time) happy! All I've got for stickers are white RPM Racing stickers on the back quarter windows (only about 1/2" tall, and 2" wide) and a white Hyperlite sticker on the back window. My car is in no way "decal'd out" and in fact looks quite sharp wth the white accents. Anyway, I'll stop the ranting now...
