i just bought one yesterday...and im lovving it so far here are my first pics not really got to play with it much yet...going to do a shoot with my car tomorrow!!!

I love what Nikon did there.. they went even farther than the Canon Digital Rebel in terms of bringing DSLR to the masses.
I was tempted to buy one (I sold my Canon 20D because it was gigantic so I rarely used it) but then I got my wits about me and remembered it's a Nikon so I just can't do it.
Once you ally with one brand there's no end.

Congrats! Your pictures look great. This thread makes me miss the old D100 I had for a few years.
If you're looking for a do-it-all zoom lens, the Tamron 28-300mm (42mm-450mm with the 1.5x crop factor) is great for motorsports, zoos, sports, family candids.
Also, if you find yourself doing a lot of flash photography, get an external unit like the SB-800. It makes a world of difference with the bounce capability.
