Hello how is everyone. I was just browsing the internet, ran across the site, thought that I would check it out. I am a true Mazda freak. I own a 1989 RX-7 Turbo II, it's pretty loud and fast I guess. I also own a 1990 Ford Probe which is basically a Mazda MX-6. I am truly a rotor fan, but I also do like the MSP's and the new 3's. A little more about my self, I am a Mazda technician at a local dealership, if you need any technical information or anything like that I can help. Anyways, enough about me I'm gonna go check the site out some more.. Just thought that I would introduce myself, I am a member over at RX7club.com as well. Found the link to this place from there..

welcome to the club. I'm a fellow FC owner myself. I'm doing a carb swap on an S4 with an S5 NA motor. Car is coming back from the body shop this week and then I'll start on the engine build. Should be a neat toy when I'm done.

Hey thanks everyone, I live in Anchorage, Alaska. The dealership has been here for a good 25 years or so I think. The Tributes and 6's sell the most up here it seems. We still sell a few RX-8's and Miatas a year as well .. which is suprising. It's interesting seeing an RX-8 drive down a snowy road in the dark with studded tires in -15 degree weather.. heh.

That's cool that you have an FC there Prime.. Transformers rock by the way, they were my favorite.. I just helped a friend do a complete TII swap into an S5 N/A base model, and we lightened it even more, it's got a front mount and SAFC, wide band, full exhaust, etc etc with the stock turbo, it's a beast. I couldnt even imagine it with an upgraded turbo!

That's cool that you are going to carb yours, I have seen/heard about it on the internet. I would be interested in knowing how yours turns out! We have a couple of N/A motors laying around, one with a bad rear rotor, another one with 150k on it, still runs good.. my buddy and I were thinking about rebuilding one of those and keeping it N/A and doing something with it, carbing it would be cool. We want to build one up and install it into his Vert.

I just bought a digi camera a few days ago, I will get pics up soon..

I hope to see some nice rides on this site!

dont plan on modding a vert. They are SO heavy you'd never lighten them up enough to overcome the initial weight. IIRC the verts are the heaviest RX cars ever made.

Yeah we know that, but he's already got that base GTU that's got the full TII swap into it, so he's already got the speed. The Vert is just pure RX Luxuriousness! As it is now though, it's a dog, even with a cat-back/intake. We don't plan on making it FAST, but at least a bit zippy.

if you plan on staying NA carb is the way to go....much more power and a lot less weight.
