Angry NEVER getting a new car again (well most likely not)

< rant >

It pisses me off to the upmost extreme the little respect people have for other people's property.

Every time I wash my car I get a little bit closer to jumping off a cliff.
Last night after I washed up my baby I noticed a nice new scrape/scuff along my door bumper on the passenger side. This seems to be a very popular spot to ram doors into. THANK GAWD for the bumper being there. I hate to think what my doors would look like otherwise.
BUT the thing that really pissed me off was when I discovered a small but irritating scuff/scrape on my passenger side reard bumper. Below it was an impact mark. So I'm guessing a shopping cart? If I would of backed up into something that would be one thing but I DIDN'T.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
57 more payments loom in my future. I shudder to think what it will look like when it's paid off.
Having a new car is going to drive me straight to the psych ward.
*grumble*
< / rant >

ps- Please someone remind me it's only a car and that it running soundly is the most important thing.

My mother says that is why she will not buy a new car and the fact that she can't afford one either. I'm the guy that parks a mile away from the store with the Porches and Vetts. Some people look at me as if I don't belong out there. Just a couple of weeks ago I was out front of my house and this little boy(like 3 years old) was looking up at me on the porch and rode his bike right off the curb. When I went to help pick him up his pedal was right next to my bumper . I don't think he hit because there is no mark. But if there had been a mark I think I would have been royally pi$$ed. But then I would have felt bad because first the kid hurt himself and second it was an honest mistake. I know I'm going to hate side by side parking.

Yeah I'm the same way. I'll park far from the store and take up 2 or 3 parking spaces so nobody parks near me. I refuse to park on the street in my neighborhood cuz the kids couldn't care less about hitting peoples cars with stuff. I'm moving into an apartment in the next week or two and I have no choice but to park next to other people. Let's hope they have sense enough to not hit my car.

I will definitely park as far away from everyone as possible whenever I can.
I try to find end spaces to so at least no one can park on one side.
Who cares if it's not a Porsche, it's still MY baby!

Yeah.. first ding that went into the Pro was my fault ((

Halloween last year.. which was a friday.. one of my PIAA headlights went out.. and thinkin.. I'm goin out.. I better change it.. and dropped a mag lite on the fender... I was soooooo mad at myself.. it sucked

Monday it was being fixed.. I hate leaving it that way.. and I have one on there now.. I gotta get that one taken care of..somebody at work dinged the door...

Oh yeah.. and then my g/f backed her car into the front of mine.. scuffed the front bumper.... set off my alarm..... if she had looked in her mirror.. she would've seen this bright blue object that sort of resembles a protege just chillin there halfway behind her car....

<sigh> my beater Honda never got this much abuse.... I guess cause maybe everybody thought I didn't have insurance or somethin.. lol

When my dad got his last Civic, somebody who works for him put a huge ding in his door and denied it, so he drove around a brand new car with a ding in it for the next 3 years. If someone does that to his Protege, he'll probably fire them.

My Protege is old and has no paint, not to mention the fact that it spends a lot of time on gravel roads, so I'm not worried about dings. Sorry to hear about your car, though.

I have the worst luck with Vehicles.

In the last year my MX3 has been involved in 3. First I was at a huge party and a truck decided to go 4x4 over the hood and passenger side of my car.

Valentine's Day, someone decided to pull a hit and run after hittiny my drivers door and front fender

April 11/04. 2 Days after my KLZE swap Im cruisin' with a friend and BAM! Get rear ended.

Not really an accident, but out drinking with some buddies, and one decides he wants to set off my car alarm, he goes to kick my tire, misses and hits my Gas Cap, which is about 1 foot higher then the top of the tire..... Damn drunks

Im saving up for a new car in the spring, I swear first person to touch it will die.

Yeah I've had probably 6 or 7 dents just pop up on my car from god-knows-what. There was actually a dent in my hood going OUT like it got dented from inside the engine bay. I hate inconsiderate people.
