Bring both. The more, the merrier. Then we can easily surround them. With that Nissan, they won't know what hit them.

The 500$ deductible is due to the financing contract. If you have 1000$ deductible and your financing from Mazda, double check and make sure that you are not breaking any codes in your contract.

As far as I am concerned, that's Mazda's problem, not mine.

I've had the same insurance and the same deductibles since day one - if they accepted my $1k policy, I'm not going to go out and change that.

Besides - if I were to wreck the car - and Mazda starts complaining about my insurance - it'll cost me $500 out-of-pocket to solve it; I'll just have to pay the difference. Trust me, it'll cost me MUCH more than $500 over the next 3-1/2 years (what's left on my loan) to lower my deductibles to $500.

And whatta they gonna do? Stop accepting my payments? Repossess my car? That'd be a losing proposition on their part, because I'm pretty damn sure the wholesale value of the car is less than the remaining loan amount. They'd be screwing themselves - all for the "potential" that I could screw them out of $500 if I wreck the car? Doesn't make much sense to me.

I'll leave things as they are, a-thankyaverymuch.

BTW - my wife bought a 98 Jeep Cherokee for $14k, put down $8k, and has also had $1k deductibles since the beginning of her loan (before we were married, she had her own ins. policy - now we're both on my insurance - still $1k deductibles, still no issues).

Just a thought, but perhaps the reason why the beat the hell out of your rims and cd player is because they are planning on coming back when your car is fixed. By ripping off the emblems they will be able to easily identify when your car has been fixed by the insurance company, and the emblems are back. Maybe you should roll on the crappy stuff for a while until they lose interest. Think about it, in one night they could get rims, altezza's, a cd player, and perhaps some subs too if you upgrade all perfectly fit to go in a P5. They would probably just steal the car at that point and strip it later.

Again just a thought.

What bugs me is how much was done... That must have taken them at least 10-15 minutes, so I find it hard to believe that no one saw them, even at like 4:00am or whenever it was. Get the cops to ask around, or something. Someone had to have seen it go down. Crush the *******!

Maybe this can solve the problem? http://www.x10.com/

Get your car fixed and mount a couple of these babies to record the action. The only thing better than kicking their asses yourself is getting them a ticket to the booty house courtesy of "caught-on-tape" evidence.

Don't listen to him Josh, FIX IT.

Did you read my post? I know it's stock, but look at what they did, they busted up his cd, ruined his stock rims and tail lights. What do most people do in a situation like this, they go for custom rims. tail lights and a new aftermarket radio because they are cheaper and insurance companies usually go along with it. Josh even mentioned he is planning on getting aftermarket rims. I am suspicious about the parts they damaged. I didn't say not to fix it, but just to leave it for a bit. If these guys are waiting for him to replace all the damaged stuff, they might be planning on coming back and taking the whole car when he replaces everything.
Also I did say it was just a thought, christ, relax and perhaps lay off the coffee a little.

Geez...an answer to his question concerning the deductible limit and I get flamed.

All I can say is to get an alarm that will wake the dead. That is the most that you can do, even if you replace everything to spec, some individual will do the same thing. Pay the deductible and get it fixed. That is what insurance is for.

I'd be willing to bring over my beat up, dinged up, 91' and back into the bastard's car 3-4 times.

Why can't we all get along?

That kind of damage could only have been done by a thrifty but very confused Civic owner attampting to steal badges to complete his JDM conversion.

On a serious note, it is really sad to see that kind of malicious damage done to one of these cars.
