merging sites :protegelcub.com & msprotege.com
anyone has any thoughts/comments on why we should not merge both sites together.
stats from this site are: (protegeclub.com)
Threads: 33,574
Posts: 291,818
Members: 9,332
stats from other site: (msprotege.com)
Threads: 92,561 > approx 3x times as many
Posts: 1,469,011 > approx 5x times as many
Members: 15,926 > approx <2x times as many
Just wanted to see what you guys think.

it'll never happen....for one reason msprotege is the toilet of mazda forums. #2. This is a privately owned forum just as msprotege is. Advertising money is made off this forum and merging with another would cause too many issues with getting paid for that advertisement.
I think you are mistaking quantity for quality. Just because they have more posts or more members doens't mean they have better information or higher standards. I personally don't wish to scan the new threads and see "NSFW" in every other topic...I also think you should look at how many of those posts and threads are in the Off Topic section....it might make you realize what that forum REALLY has to offer.

I not big on flaming but you've got to be joking! MSprotege is a joke! I would never go there for information. I do post on it but I do so only because the TX guys are on it. The guys on here ROD MAC and even that but head I don't like know more or just as much then the other guys and I trust the advise given by the members on this site.

There are some folks over there for whom I have a lot of respect (many of them already members here). But there is SO MUCH crap. I think even a lot of regular msprotege members believe this as well, but it's home for them, so they probably won't change.
Plus, Antoine has got to be the biggest internet ******** on the planet.
Make that solar system, and include the Kuiper Belt!

lol! But yeah half the stuff on the other site is just 
the only reason im there is to see wats going on in the chicago area on theirs. just becuase for some reason since they have more "action" everyday most of it is sh*t like what people have been saying.

I just wanted opinions, thats all. I understand the complexities of the whole matter, and i'm shying away from that.
Now, i don't know anyone from either site personally, so i don't know who Antoine is, so i can't speak to that.
My goal to drive this topic was the shear fact of only looking at the statistics available to each site. Driven primarily by post count. and it is only correct to assume that with that many posts, alot would defineatly be CRAP. But also at the same time, with so many registered members, it also means fast moving threads.
I'm just trying to see both advantages and disadvantages from a administors point of view. While i'm sure this suggestion would never happed, i just wanted to see what different opinions each one had.

I think from a monetary standpoint it would be a good diea to merge but inall honesty most everyone here is a member there. and abouot half of their members are members here.
The two forums are generally thought of (by me at least) as:
msprotege: kiddie's table
protegeclub : Adult table.
We keep our threads clean, no fighting, no language, no ****, no rantings, etc...... The other forum is a cesspool of off-topic rantings and vendor bashing with no control or set guidelines to treat all people fairly. Everyone here is treated fairly and knows where they stand at all times. If you come here to fight or argue or bash you're gone. End of story. If second chances are asked for, they are given. Look at Kmaalfasa (or however you spell it). I banned him in under like 20 posts! He's back because he cleaned up his game. Now we all get a long. That's how a forum SHOULD be run.
