LOTR: Fellowship of the ring, LOTR: Two Towers, which was better??

I think the Two Towers was better. It had less suspenseful scenes, but it imparts a sense of urgency and nervousness in viewers.

The story was much better also, much less linearity and the repitition of themes in the play, much less predictable, much more intriguing.

The two towers was so much more action-packed, I loved it. The special effects were the best I've seen in any movie. Two towers has my vote.

The two towers was better. I might have to go watch it again on IMAX. I love both movies though.

First one was good, but it had nothing comparable to the war @ Helms Hound in TTT. The pre-war atmosphere was so nicely done.

and then there's always the split-personality of the Golem
The scene he was struggling w/ good and evil side of himself at night was so striking

You can't really say one is better then the other, because they are sequels, and one picked up where the first movie ended. This is just my opioin. Because both movies have a common goal, and how it gets done is a bit different. I guess for an example could be perhaps Back to the Future, or Indiana Jones, or Star Wars. Each first movie of those trilogies setup the others, but the following movies had evolved from that, and were created based on that, though still being different. TLOR however is a continuation, both movies have the same goal. I guess to explain it best, and not to bore you any longer, if I would have the patience to sit in the theater for nine hours and watch all three right after another, I would not be able to tell if one is better then the other, its just one long movie, and it is good. IMO Peace

turbonium959 has hit the preverbial NAIL ON THE HEAD.....its ALL ONE FRICKIN MOVIE! LOL and I can not wait to see them all.....I would/could only assume you people know that all three movies were filmed one after the other? as in they are already IN THE CAN as they say.....all they are doing is waiting for next christmas to roll around to release the NEXT one?

oh yeay...I GET TO SEE IT FREE!!!......well sorta.....I managed to snag up a copy of the extended directors cut (four dvd set) at the local target and there is a coupon in the set to see TWIN TOWERS for FREE!....so considering the price of movie tickets now adays.....I got that set for a mear $22!

btw...if you are looking for that set...its pretty cool....this is not just the original theater version with some extra crap stuffed in.....this version was actually put together AFTER the threater release...to further develope characters and explore some of the story that was left out of the original due to time constraints....it adds about 40 minutes to the film......
