Lexus IS300 Sportcross

Anyone notice how similar the P5 and IS300 sportcross looks? Which car came out first?

The Protege has been out since 99 in Japan, called the Familia S-Wagon.

Crossover between what? The Pro5 is just a 5 door sedan, its not even a wagon since its actually SHORTER than the sedan. And hey, don't knock the Aztek... I happen to think it makes rather a good looking tent

What maxxxed means is that there's similarity betveen IS300 and Protege5 front end-shape of headlights mainly.
Just compare some pictures.
As for for the rest-I doubt three's any more similarities or "idea borrowing".

Um, the Protege is called the Familia over in Japan. The rest of the world calls it the 323. Only US/Candace get the name "Protege". S-Wagon means "Short Wagon".

I think the front ends are the most similar part. the IS 300 sedan and sport cross have the same front ends. The Toyota Altezza (which is the j-spec Lexus IS 300) was introduced I believe in the summer of 99. It was not available here until a while later. I think only the newer S-wagons, like the P5, look similar. The older 3rd gen sport 20 s-wagons or whatever sort of had a Sentra looking front end. So to answer your question the IS300 had the sharper headlights and front end treatment before our P5's or famlia S-wagons or whatever you want to call them.

Uhh got crack?

Dude the IS300 sportcross looks nothing like our P5's. The P5 is mad ghetto compared to this fine automobile.

If I had the chedda I would roll that Lexus around any day of the week over my P5. But I don't have the chedda, so I don't roll the Lexus. I mean I guess I like my P5, although there is a lot of **** that pisses me off about it, but damn man you can't even compare a Lexus to a Protege. That's like comparing fine wine to a ****** Old English 40 oz.

There are some similarities dude. Of course a P5 sucks in craftsmanship compared to that, but it cost roughly twice as much. Get a pic of the front end and you will see the headlight shape is kind of similar. Not identical, but similar. Our round fog lights change the lower lip though.

Hmm I guess I need to drink more. I mean it is Cinco de Mayo and all, but damn I guess the analogy here would be like getting way drunk and thinkin some bremelo was a hot chick or sumthin. I dunno dude, yeah I guess the lights are somewhat angled the same, but damn the Lexus is pimp, the P5 is well.... I dunno, but it ain't no Lexus

From that angle I think a P5 looks a little better. The Sport Cross has some hellish trunkage behind the rear wheels. But the pic from the earlier post makes it look really awesome. Overall I think the P5 looks great for the price. the sport cross does look better, but I don't know about 12,000 $0.99, 20 minute calls with 10-10-220 better. I like the P5's fender flares too.
