Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

I vaguely remember '78 (I was 4-1/2) - I remember walking into a path my dad had shoveled, and not really being able to see over the snowbank.

Yeah - I'm sure you guys get "storms" that never hit anywhere but the Great Lakes region - lotsa lake-effect. We downstate-rs have to wait for the **** storms. Our biggies were definitely '78 and '96.
AND - I just went out to see what I can do with the car - NO ******* WAY. Got outside, the snow drift was up over the roof - I shoulda taken a picture (*OWNED* by nature). It was like I parked on the street and the plow snowed me in. I shoveled what I could, and tried rocking the car out, but I got nowhere. Got about 4 feet out from the paking space, couldn't get all the way back in again either (I did do the smart thing and backed-in last night, leaving room behind the car so I could back up and "ram" thru the snow - worked like a charm YAH RIGHT). I'm in a parking lot in an apartment complex, and almost slid into the cars next to me trying to get back in.
This is the ONLY time (once every 5 years?) I wish I had a truck. We went out in the wife's Jeep earlier - barreling through stuff that was higher than the wheels and bumper. 4 wheel drive + big semi-offroad tires = no problem and lotsa fun in the snow.
Oh well. We'll see in the morning. But right now it looks like I'll be stuck surfing the forums again tomorrow (poor me).
Drive safe everyone.
