Not trying to flame
Just wondering if anyone knows Kobe personally...or the alleged victim. I am a criminal justice student and have been taught that anybody and everybody has the potential to do really bad things. Including rape and including lying for personal gain. The DA would not have filled charges against Mr. Bryant if there was not substantial evidence that a crime occurred. Another thing, famous celebs (something else from crim jus) often think that they are special and that somehow laws dont apply to them, and that regular people should give in to their every whim.
If Kobe is such a great guy then why'd he cheat on his wife(my own assumption)? I am more apt to believe the victim in this case because it seems alot of people are against her...but maybe that was her game from the begining; the more people against her, the more she gains on her side.
just my 2 cents

It's an interesting situation for sure... I'm not saying Kobe was ever a nice guy, I mean, I doubt anyone would know either of the people to make a judgement call. Perhaps I'm just a bit skeptical from the rumors I've heard.
First of all, these ARE just rumors (maybe, who knows WHAT is real for sure?)...
1. She was bragging it up to her friends that Kobe was going to be staying at the hotel like a week prior to his arrival.
2. She insisted on taking him his room service.
Now, if she for any reason was asked by Kobe to bring the room service, she had her right to say no (but didn't). And that's just if he asked her. I'm assuming she took it upon herself to take it to his room. If he had been previously forward with her, I doubt she'd want to put herself in such an awkward position.
Just the idea of her being very excited that a celeb was staying at her hotel (who wouldn't be, he's an international superstar!), and then she making the effort to have contact with the person (not even speaking sexually), is enough to raise my suspicions.
If I worked at a hotel and a hot *** celebrity (Halle Berry, Sarah Michelle Gellar, the like) was staying there, **** yea I'd do whatever I could to make their stay better, try and talk with them, and do them hard if I could. Something I could tell my grandkids someday!
Who knows what happened, I'm hoping they have to testify to tell their stories in court, because I'm interested in 'how it went down'.

I just didnt agree with some of the name calling going on toward the victim. I could easily call Kobe a pompus arrogant rapist, but I dont know him. I could say that the alleged victim is just a **** after money, but again, dont know. I do know that rape is a horrible crime, and that charges would not have been filled if the physical evidence wasnt there--even more so due to Bryants status.

It seems to me, you are fomenting the violation of the complaintee's personal privacy rights as well as adding disparaging commentary (Kobe's ho?).
In terms of evaluating the sensibility of this entire situation, I pose the question:
Who is more "dumb":
1) the "star" who, at the least, admits adultery;
2) the young female who who visited his room; or
3) the inconsiderate louts who find all of this amusing?

Well, at least he was thinking... "Judging" from the initial tone of this thread, and the ludicrous replies, "thinking" is the one condition to which none of you are guilty!
