Introduce Myself!

I just wanted to let your guys know Im the new owner of the forum and say Hi!
If you need anything let me know. In the upcoming weeks we will be moving the forum onto a new server, which will eliminate the periodic downtime. We will probably be making some changes to the look of the forum, but other than that we wont change much.

I also own www.rx7forum.com which takes up most of my time along with running www.rx7store.net . Im working on a on-line store for the Protege and will be able to offer great prices on anything you would need, such as Racingbeat, mazdaspeed etc
My overall goal is to build a community and make this the #1 Protege site on the net.

Thanks for listening. Any questions or comments please send me an e-mail jbaughman@columbus.rr.com

Jason

just out of curiousity, what would you be changing about the forum? i think other than the main page which has no content, the forum itself looks good.

Good idea, I will add some more smilies.

I think we will change the header at the top of the forum and maybe widen the forum to fill the screen a little more. Thats probably the only things we will change.

Well I would like to say hi. THis is the best site for the pro that I've seen in the net. I look forward to seeing more items available for the pro. I am still trying to convince my wife to let me do Auto X with our pro (hers) and hopefully after adding some speed parts to it she'll let me. Anyway look forward to watching this site grow.

Hey Jason, thanks for speaking up! I have an idea that I wouldn't mind to see changed. When I post messages on maxima.org, it will take me back to the forum that I was posting in, compared to the MESSAGE that I just posted in.

I think this is kinda annoying. If you post, you've already read all the other posts, so I think we should be spared the pain and suffering of have to click back a few times....

Just a suggestion, thanks for picking the best Pro place on the net!

Hi there. I like the forums as they are, except for one thing. I run at a higher resolution, and I think that the width of the tables should stretch to fit the entire monitor. At 800x600, it looks fine, but at any higher res, the column is too small. If we change over to a new server, will we have to re-register our names?

Well, it's not a major problem but look at all the white space to the sides that could be used.

welcome

all righty, welcome aboard/onboard

Better not change any of the colours, these blue shades are very relaxing, whatever you do, don't change those, and leave all of the smilies here, but add more if you'd like, especially don't mess with this guy :...

Nice to meet you

"Protege Enthusiast" is the start, once you have a certain number of posts, it changes, Protege Menace, your a "Protege Owner" now....like none of us are anyway....but thats how it works.

Jason, if you haven't done so already, I suggest you browse through the Mods Section thread in the Private Forum. There are some pretty good ideas for organizational changes in there that you might want to look at. Personally, I think the site could be organized a bit better to elimnate duplicate posts or posts in the wrong section due to confusion.
