Angry I feel so bad, Wish i had a time machine

Damn, i feel so bad.

Across the street from me i had a neighboor called Ms Thomas, she was a nice old lady. She was also the neighboorhood snitch on things but thats no biggie.

She died about a yr ago, and lived alone in her house as her son came time to time to cut the grass for her.
Sooner of later he got in trouble with the law and things and vanished.
And she was alone. She became very ILL and her daughter who is like 39-45+ moved in. Her daughter was one of those types you would see on Jerry Springer ....... Mothers who dress sexy and act young. She works at K Mart and dresses like shes a teen, and has like 6 Kids from 6 Different Guys... To which are all Ghetto as well, 2 of them in High School about to catch it also ....... If they keep playing with me. But anyways i can remember Ms Thomas coming to me one day in distress because the Ghetto kids where driving her crazy and not feeding her because the daughter was out and about like a normal HOE would do ....
She came to me crying, wishing they would leave, asking me for help in a issue i had no power, she was very sick and couldnt walk well but made it to me .... They kept her in the basement, no one talked to her, she said she was lonely and hungry and no one watched over her and said one of the little kids told her that they wanted her to die so that they can get the house to which they have now. She is dead now .... And i think that i could of helped some how, no one should have to suffer in there last days like that.
Just makes me mad and adds on to my anger and hatred amongst many other things in this world.
2 dudes over there keep slowly testing me .... One day i came out the house and seen a pebble bounce around my foot at a high speeds as if it was thrown. I just acted like i didnt see it but one day i will have to resort to violence again because that only seems the way to get a point across nowadays......

Dude, try not to beat yourself up about it too much. It sounds to me like if you had known what to do, you would have done it. It's not exactly like school and/or our jobs can prepare us for every single situation that gets thrown at us as we grow up.

I found myself with a similar problem when I was younger and living on my own for the first time. A downstairs neighbor (older dude) totally wigged out, and was living in garbage, adopting new puppies every week, took his back door of the hinges (leaving his apt. totally open to the outside), and I would often find him wandering around in the hallway, totally disoriented. I had no idea what to do.

I told my dad, and he called our city's Dept of Human Services, who suggested I contact the landlord of my apt. building. For some reason, it hadn't occurred to me to do that to begin with.

I'm not sure what kind of area you live in, but chances are there's some sort of municipal or county agency who might handle that sort of thing. But again, if you've never encountered a situation like that, how would you know?

And ignore the rock-throwers....they aren't worth your time or trouble.

Good advice chiproes! This is exactly what you should do. In my area, it's called Department of Family and Children's Services - these are the folks who confiscate children. Sadly, they have more power to harass, intimidate etc., than do the police (though you may wish to pass on an anonymous tip about a certain "crack house" or meth lab in your 'hood).

The main thing, is stay on their ***, legally, and be behind the scenes, not beckon for an altercation.
You have much more at risk in terms of violent acts than do they - don't be suckered into a high-risk game where even if you do win the rewards would be small, anyway.

The good news, Lost Concept, is that you genuinely seem to care. Whether or not you could have made a difference with Ms Thomas is moot. Rather than focusing upon such situations and harboring feelings of sadness and remorse, try to move in a positive direction. It seems to me you may have much to give to your neighborhood and community.
Good luck!

Yea, I work for an agency that does this. They also do Mental Health and Mental retardation services, sounds like the guy may be a good candidate for the mental health services.

It's a sad world we live in sometimes

Thumbs down

Boy, that's pretty sad.
Look at it this way: The fact that you feel bad for the lady across the street makes you a good person. It sounds as if her own family didn't have the capacity to love their grandma. I kinda feel sorry for them, to not know how to love must suck.
Anyway, chin up, bro! Those maggots will get theirs one way or another.
Maybe time for an East Coast Protege Club meet at your house! Have about 30 or 40 of your closest bros to come on over and lay down the law for those heartless bastards!

chiproes also has a good point. I'm sure there's some sort of county agency set-up to help elderly people out of situations like this.
